Lunching at Momotoko. Last time I visited the lunch was much smaller than used to be. So I gave them a second chance, just to find it even smaller and this time ramen was cold too.
So now it is time to say goodbye Momotoko.
We've taken a soup with chicken, a portion of small dimsams and a salad. The cost was around 30 EUR. Ramen with chicken was not enough spicy for us, more like water, but quality of ingredients is really good. Location is comfortable: near the railway...station.More
Everytime I'm in Helsinki I go to this restaurant with the great, serviceminded staff and excelent ramen! The restaurant has seats for 30 people, so luckily we've never had to turn around from the door, even if it seemes very popular. On top of ramen...we always end up ordering some takoyaki and Japanese styled gyoza with Asahi beers! Lovely!More
Have been in different Momotokos in Helsinki area since there are quite many in Helsinki. This specific one was the best i think.
Good food with nice flavour, friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
Cannot go wrong if you visit the place. Enjoyed my visit there.
All 3 of us had the Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth was milky-smooth and flavourful. I just wish it had been a tad hotter, & the husband said he could taste a powdery residue (maybe the soupbase?) The noodles were springy, with a bit of bite,...which was good. The 4 pieces of grilled pork that topped the noodles were deliciously juicy, with a little charring done just right.
The sweet corn was cold :( The generous serving of seaweed overwhelmed the dish, I felt. But the sprig of rocket leaf lifted the taste a little.
Overall, not bad Ramen.
The gyozas were good. Crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The skewered meat was tender and well seasoned.More
Beautiful and tasty curry vege ramen with tofu, wood ear mushrooms, egg, sugar peas and creamy coconut stock. Quite spicy but nice that they have some extra shichimi togarashi and chili oil. Often crowded because the food is so good.
