Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This cafe is located next to the beautiful historic Hakasalmi Villa which acts as a city museum. We had glasses of Portuguese white wine before our museum visit.
Luckily the weather was quite sunny. The interior of this cafe is cramped but it has also tables outside.
There would have been many kinds of delicious-looking pastries but we were not yet hungry after our hotel breakfast.
The service was friendly.

I came across this cafe on a walk to the market, stopped for a coffee but stayed for the phenomenal salad that I saw someone else order. It did not disappoint. It was delicious. The tables are outdoors and the crowd was friendly and made up of locals. The staff were so friendly. I will come here again if my time allows.

I have visited this cozy little restaurant/coffee place multiple times. Excellent salmon soup for lunch. Sweets are good too.

Located very near National Museum and Parliament Building in Mannerheimintie. Extra star for dog friendliness and good traditional and not too sweat, but tasty and still warm owenbaked cinnamon bun.

Lovely outdoor space to eat in the sun. I had the salad with Halloum chees and fresh strawberries with a piece of quiche. Very good.

I visit here for lunch on average once a week, but this time I enjoyed a dinner on a cold November Saturday. Food was absolutely gorgeous - you can tell the chef puts a lot of thought and love into the menu. The ingredients used and a lot of the flavours sourced were exotic, yet very Finnish. Service was friendly and professional. The athmosphere of the place was nice and relaxing: the location itself is lovely in daylight too, but with the candles and soft music it was just perfect. Can't wait to go back for dinner!

Located just behind the National Museum of Finland, this cafe offers some lovely pies and cakes to eat - all homemade! My family came here for a quick lunch before we went off to visit the museum - there is indoor and outdoor seating.
The highlight were the korvapuusti (Finnish cinnamon rolls) we tried- fresh out of the oven; so gorgeously fragrant and warm and most importantly, very delicious.
You order at the front of the cafe - all available foods to buy is written on either the board behind the counter or written on the glass displaying the pies and cakes. While everything is in Finnish, the owners of the cafe speak English and are lovely people, happy to answer any questions you have.

This cafe is so very central on Mannerheimintie and still a green oasis in the Villa Hankasalmi gardens next door to both the Finlandia Hall and the Music Hall, National Museum and close to Kiasma. Excellent for lunch or a cup of coffee especially when you can sit outside. The food here is absolutely a great surprise for such a tiny and quite modest place. Try the lunch specials! The mushroom risotto was really to die for! The cafe is now also open on weekend evenings and having tested the dinner menu I can only warmly recommend!

Maybe many don’t notice this cafe on the corner of Aurora Karamsin’s house which used to be a museum.
This cafe is located in the side bulding. Musiikkitalo and Finlandia House are next to it. Entrance from Mannerheimintie.
Wine, drinks, light lunch, cakes etc.

Beautiful little cafe in the very heart of Helsinki city center.
Always delicious goods, cakes and biscuits and salty pies and pastries.
Good selection of teas and always so fresh coffee. Nice friendly staff.
Highly do recommend to try out the cinnamon buns.
Also salads available.

The café is located in a garden area and having left the hustle of the busy roads near the Rock Church, this was a lovely quiet contrast. Coffee and cake was very good.

We loved this humble little cafe. Walking between museums, we needed food and stumbled upon Cafe Huvila. The pies visible from outside drew me in and they did not disappoint. We had salmon soup (super tasty) with feta and cashew nut salad (refreshing) and a tuna and chilli pie (delicious) with salad. They were all wonderful, and choosing a highlight is impossible. This was a perfect place to satisfy our hunger.
They have refreshing lime water, and unlimited bread to mop up soup.
Another wonderful experience in Helsinki.

A small café with delicious food, set in a quiet garden space between Finlandia Hall and the Music Centre. Gluten free main course items and desserts. It was a gorgeous day and we were thrilled to find this little gem of a place. There is a beautiful house (now a museum) next to it connected with a well know philanthropic Finnish woman.
