Our dinner at the Savoy was excellent. We had the tasting menu and it was superb! Ida, our server, provided excellent service and was quite pleasant. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list. We had a really good Chablis with dinner and excellent Port...afterward. The views, too, are pretty special as the restaurant is on the top floor of its building. We highly recommend dining here.More

Savoy is one of the top rated restaurants in Helsinki. Unfortunately, the food was surprisingly disappointing. We had a four course menu and the first two dishes were very bland. The remaining two dishes were better and the wines were excellent. Still, I expected so...much more from this restaurant.More

My husband and I returned here again as we had fond memories of our visit earlier to the Savoy restaurant, and we have also visited Helena's earlier restaurant in London. The Savoy remains a very special place, and has retained its atmosphere. We had the...tasting menu, as on this occasion, ala cate was not available. The dishes were creative and highlighted local ingredients. We were hoping to try again some of the classic dishes of the Savoy such as "Vorsmack", but although it was not mentioned, it was actually incorporated into the "surprise item" on the menu. A treat well worth a visit.More

We went to celebrate our 7th year anniversary and we discovered another level of heaven. We booked a private dining room on the 7th floor and truly had a legendary evening. We took the Grand Menu (5 courses) and asked a recommendation for the wine...pairing. The service was impeccable and the food astonishing. Special mentions to the foie gras and filet of reindeer. Chef Puolakka is truly gifted and the staff of the Savoy really made us feel special. Finally, the refurbishing of the place has been done with great taste.More

Starting from the young chap looking after our coats, servive was impeccable. He deserves a payrise. Maitre’d and all round, very very good. Sommelier. mwuahh. Then food starts arriving - scallops were undercooked. At this point, being timid Finns, left it. Wine, btw, superb, made...up for it., Next the fish. Industrial pieces of mash. Not in any way suitable for the Best Restaurant in Helsinki. But then reindeer - very good. Wine to match, by far the, best course, and defo how it should be. Now, main. The Pheasant was an absolute disaster. Overcooked, underseasoned, not good. Left most of it. Chef came round to ask what is wong. Told her, obviously she thought nothing of it. Shame, because the only thing this place needs is the food to match the excellent, unparallalled service and ambience of this great place. Here, st Savoy, you feel fabulous as a customer. But the food needs to step up to the level of the serviceMore

I visited this restaurant for the first time last year. The experience was a disappointment but I decided to give Savoy another chance. It was a mistake. We opted for the 5-course grande menu. Fine-dining is a hobby of mine so I really don't mind...spending money in restaurants but 114 euros for 5 tiny (!) dishes was just outrageous. I'm a small woman and I was still left hungry. Their non-alcoholic beverage pairings were unimpressive and overpriced (42 euros for 4 small glasses of what tasted like kids' squash although they were supposed to be "wines"). The 5-course menu took 3,5 hours to serve, getting the bill took a long time and not once did a server ask our opinion on the food or drinks which usually is at least a common courtesy. I'm not the kind of diner who nods politely and says everything is fine and later posts a bad review online but because no-one cared at the time this is all I can do. This time I really won't be visiting again unless someone else pays and I've got the whole evening to spend and a chance to have a proper snack later. The servers are very polite, the venue is beautiful and the food was a lot better than last year. But when I'm hungry after a 3,5-hour dinner, the service tages ages and they don't even pretend to ask for feedback 2 our 5 is the best I can do. Helsinki is an amazing restaurant city. So go somewhere else.More

Our small group decided to top off the evening by stopping by at Savoy for light snacks. Savoy has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, so I am slightly biased in my review. We called ahead to make sure our somewhat casual appearance...would not be an issue and also got the confirmation that the terrace had room for us. Small snacks that were recommended by the head waiter and drinks to go along with that. The atmosphere is always very distinguished and peaceful with a tint of dignity and history. The scenery from the terrace is beautiful and the food has always been very tasty. Cannot go wrong with Savoy.More
