Newyyyyy food👍 Best king prawns with pepper and garlic I've ever eaten (No. 70) My daughter ate No. 20, mushroom and tofu soup. It tasted absolutely delicious👌 Next time we are in Helsinki, we will come back🙂
In addition, we got 4 spring rolls for starters instead of 3, so excellent take away service.

Went there in my first day in Helsinki. I was kind of taken aback by the size and interiors. A small place, nothing great about the interiors.
The service was prompt. I guess it is family owned. The food is good. I travel around the world and I eat in restaurants everywhere. I would rate it a 4. The best was the fried rice and green curry chicken. For Finland standards it was spicy but it was ok spice for my nomad tongue.

This is a very small restaurant that does takeaway also. We were lucky enough not to need a reservation. The food was beautiful and the prices were reasonable. The only thing that could be better was the service. There was only one girl serving and she looked like she didn’t want to be there.

The waiter ignored us for almost an hour after we came in. People were waited in totally random order and there was no particular system. Some people came, ate and left while others waited their dishes that time. After hour and half we got our food wich was quite tastless. Noodle soup didn’t have any spices.

I visited Lemon Grass in June for dinner. Lemon Grass is a small thai restaurant with authentic thai food menu, Menu is exhaustively long, it was hard to pick the dish. Food was good and portions nicely sized. Interior was not on the same level with cuisine, it was very typical small and busy diner.

Really small amount of rice (not enough for one). When we asked for more rice, they charged us 2€ extra.
When we finished, we asked for a container to take our leftovers home, and they were also charging us more per box!
The owner’s manners were not nice at all when being asked about it. We were usual customers but won’t go there any more. Not worth it taking into account the price and what they serve and charge.

I've been around Kallio for some years now and have been trying different restaurants.
This was the first time I went here and I was positively surprised. It's a small cozy place with usually many people inside. Still the atmosphere was calm and nice.
I had vegetarian dish and it was really good. It was also made quickly, and served by a nice waiter.
They have many options, but a bit expensive. Around 15e for a dish, but the dishes are large and will l not leave you hungry.
It was worth it and had a good time. Feeling satisfied.
Try it and you'll see.. Hope there's space..

My friend recommended Lemon Grass as the best Thai in Helsinki. I don't quite agree, but surely is worth visiting. A bit off the beaten track, but easily accessible by metro, tram or bus.

5/5 for cosy seating area, friendly staff, but my 'chicken with veg' dish was overly salty and virtually no veg apart from a 3 little chunks of pepper. My first time visiting was slightly better.

This is one of the best basic-priced Thai restaurants in Helsinki. The restaurant is the right size for personal attention of guests. The food has been fresh every time and prepared for the customer. Labels describing the fiery nature of the food are very accurate. The restaurant is close to the metro and easy to find. The perfect place to start a restaurant tour in Kallio.

I've had lunch here a few times and dinner once. Lunch list consists of four options, of which one is/can be made vegan. Lunch massaman tofu curry was too limey and lowkey weird-tasting, but phad thais were good. The complimentary appetizer soup with thai herbs and mushrooms was delicious.
Dinner menu is really extensive. Green tofu curry that I had was excellent, fresh and full-bodied.

I have visited this place for many years and usually I liked their food, although the service has never been excellent, just ok. But today, I visited the place for lunch and there were new people working there and service was terrible. First young woman told me to move to another table to sit down, it was ok, because the restaurant was almost full and she wanted toggle my table to other guys who came to eat after me.
Then I sit down to another place like as told to do so. My food came very quickly, but the young thai waitress did not give me a soup which included for lunch. I had to stand up and tell her ; Can I have the soup too, like other customers?
She was very rude any other way. No smile, no apology.
This restaurant was one of my favourite but I would not go there anymore. At least if the same woman was there, never again.
