Good location, poor service. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food. They told us it would take 30-40 minutes because they had “customer invasion”. Really! You probably know how it feels to drink wine on an empty stomach and await for the...food. And all of us observed how small the portions were. A 200 gram steak looked like half of it. Covered with some sort of pesto and cut in advance into pieces. The waitresses though were friendly but when you have 2 chefs serving a restaurant on a Saturday evening... Excellent view and location.More

We had wedding buffet in Töölönranta restaurant's private cabinet. Tasty food and flexible menu, very recommended!

I had the Christmas lunch buffet at Töölönranta. The price of the buffet was around 60 euros, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the lunch fell completely flat. Considering the high price, I would either expect an exceptionally good, creative menu or the usual but...quite pricey Christmas classics such as gravlax and fish roe. Töölönranta had opted for the classic approach, but had left out most of the more expensive parts such as fish roe (they did serve a mixture of cheapish salmon roe creme fraiche, but it was very light on the roe part). Again, had the price been 20-30 euros I would have been completely fine with it, but at 60 euros you'd expect it to be there. To top it off, the price didn't even include table water, and they also charged extra for coffee with your dessert. On the plus side, the service was friendly and attentive. Summa summarum, I don't think that I will go back anytime soon. At this price point, it's better to stick with a "proper" expensive restaurant such as Savoy.More

Hyvä ruoka, pienet annokset, mukava mutta hidas palvelu, kaunis ympäristö. Good food, small portions, nice but slow service, beautiful environment

Beautiful restaurant located just next to the lake. Staff very much friendly. The food was very good. I tried the mushroom soup and lemon risotto. Both were very good. Nice walk along the lake.

You have to know your stuff to present simple food so beautifully prepared and presented. Lovely service. Lovely light restaurant. Was taken there as a guest so have no idea of the cost, but would definitely go back.

On a warm, sunny afternoon it was a pleasure to enjoy lunch in a green surrounding - watching SUPpers practising on the bay and joggers on the near-by route. We enjoyed their three-course lunch, which naturally was pricier than you can have in most places,...but compared to the quality of food, their price of 36,50 €, was not too bad. For lunch, they offered a selection of two appetizers, three main courses and one dessert. It was also possible to eat only a single course or two courses, instead of their full menu. Their courses were all a little bit different from courses, which you normally meet - like Jerusalem artichoke soup, fish with carrot sauce or pannacotta with sea-buckthorn. The courses were mainly good, only complaint was about the sirloin, which had some tough pieces. Also pike-perch mentioned on their internet-page had changed into a more-common salmon. A special recommendation comes from our seven month old grand-son, who was very devoted to the offered foccaccio bread. The service ran smoothly - not too fast but also without too much waiting. Their special priced Taittinger was a great start for our lunchMore

This restaurant is near by the national opera house and I have sometimes been here before or after opera. Place is nice, has view to Töölönlahti and has good food. At the moment, there are asparagus menu... and I love asparagus. Asparagus risotto was really...good, I could recommend.More

Visited with two friends for lunch on a Saturday. The terrace was a mess with uncleaned tables being smogersbord for the predatory seagulls. Apparently the restaurant was understaffed! our waitress told us. The drinks are horrendously expensive for what they are. A bottle of Lonkero...sweet gin juice for almost 10€! The food! O the food! what a disappointment! Our burgers were cooked. That's how far I can go. The toast skaggen ridiculously tiny. 20€ per burger and 14€ for the toast. Never again! Two stars for the location ... which is nice regardless of the restaurant.More

Ad-hoc lunch with the girlfriend and mama. The venue was half empty as we entered soon after opening. The service was a little slow, which is surprising as there weren’t that many customers present. Also it seemed the waiter didn’t know much about wines, but...that’s fine as I luckily knew what I wanted. But the burger, really, that’s pretty excellent! A very simple burger indeed, with plain dressing and mozzarella, but when you do things properly, the outcome is just great. Rosé accompanied it very well. However, coffee could have been better. Overall, food is good, but service could be better.More
