We ordered tempura from Kabuki. We decided to try it out after a long pause. Tempura was soggy, heavy batter. The fish tempura was uneatable, I think the fish was old. Salmon in sashimi was cut in thick pieces unprofesdionally. It was difficult to eat....Overall an unpleasant meal and a far cry from Japanese food.More

Terrible! Worst personal sushi experience ever! Most of the fish nigiris far from fresh eg tuna nigiri was darkbrown (!) with BAD smell (totally uneatable). We have eaten a lot of sushi and never experienced anything even close as disgusting as this. Stay away! No...response to subsequent enquiries (private feedback), which is very disappointing as we threw away most of our 70€ take-away order.More

Decidedly average, avoid. Poor service, boring food, overpriced. Totally underwhelming, confusing menu, tiny portions and nothing extra.

Bad customer service. No smile. No basic knowledge of how to service customers. Food was okay. It was my first and last time.

Use to be the place to go for quality Japanese food in Helsinki. Current owners still serve the same menu but quality of the food just isn’t the same. Beef sashimi looked like it came from a vacuum and not freshly sliced, salmon tasted old...and the ramen broth had no taste at all. Helsinki offers plenty options for Japanese meal with better value for money.More

I found this place by pure accident. Walking by I wouldn’t have known it was a restaurant so some signage wouldn’t go astray. The service was only ok. The waiter dragged his feet along the floor and barely engaged as if just didn’t want to...be there. Food came out quickly. The miso was good but the rice felt as it was the burnt remains scraped of the bottom of the pot. The beef slices were over cooked to the point of being tough to eat and the dish didn’t have the traditional Japanese flair but was just a very salty broth. The salad was tiny, ok to eat but nothing special. Sadly with the range of choices especially with the sushi buffets around which have far superior food, Kabuki doesn’t stack up in quality or price. I would only hope their dinner menu makes up for a lack luster lunch option.More

Old faithful Kabuki delivered again a good sushi dinner. Salmon on top maki and grilled seabass nigiri were especially good!

We went here with a group of 8 persons on a saturday afternoon. Most of all had a menu with various dishes. The food was tasty and service attentive and friendly. Good genuine atmosphere. The price was reasonable as well. Nothing to complain about.

We had dinner for 4 people and must say that the place has lost its glory, feeling, quality and service attitude totally. It used to be THE place to go for authenticity, taste of food and service but now it feels like any chinese (yes,...I know..this is supposed to be japanese) restaurant you go to in your neighbourhood. The service is just really bad..have to separately ask for even water...no jug can be left on the table. Portions are super small(starters very like doll size) and the rice tasted as if it was done the day before. Tuna was dry, sauces straight from a bottle. So sad as this used to be my favourite place..how did the new owners kill it all 😔More

The venue is nice, very intimate. The food was okay, nothing special, I’ve had much better Japanese but the price-quality ratio was ok. Service was fast and friendly. Would maybe recommend if you just want to have a nice quick casual dinner, however, this is...not a place to celebrate a special occasion etc..More
