For around €25-40 per dish this restaurant will serve you a fairly mediocre meal. The service was a bit slow - we waited over 40 minutes for our food and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Then they add a €1/per person charge for tap water...to the bill (seems unavoidable because we did not ask for drinks of any kind). Should have gone elsewhere.More
Not worth going to. Yes it’s kinda cool with the Viking theme, but all in all we wish we went somewhere else. Good service although the restaurant was empty, and the atmosphere could be so much better. There was no other customers in the restaurant,...so that played a role in our experience as well. The food was ok, nothing really exciting but ok.More
Took new customer contact for a little different but "everyday" lunch.
Polite and attentive young staff who coped well as there was no rush despite prime lunch time in the very center of Helsinki. Is it due to location on second floor or what...?
We...chose viking chief's three-plate menu which was served to table. The starter soup was great, the deer a little overdone having that liver-ish taste and structure, the potatoes and sauce with it were very tasty. Ice cream with compote was great ending.
For <30€ served to table quite OK. At least a little different experience!More
We ate dinner, three (or two) course meal from the menu. Place was quite full, still there was no service or extreme slow service. We waited for the desert like one hour. Not seen yet.Could also drink something . ..
Never coming back.
We ate here after passing by during our walk around Helsinki.
The restaurant is Viking themed and I think it does it well - even the cups they give you and food presentation fits in with the theme which I thought was a nice touch....All of the food we had was great. My partner and I shared a sword of different kinds of meat (I can't remember the name of the dish!), including reindeer and deer. It came with 2 types of potatoes, lots of roasted vegetables and 3 types of sauce. It was a great sharing dish and definitely something to remember.
The service wasn't too great, we did wait a while for our food and found it difficult to order extra drinks.
I'd definitely recommend visiting as it was well worth the overall experienceMore
We were there with 3 families and 9 small kids - they hosted us in a separate room. Lots of fun for the kids with the Viking helmets and the space to fool around. Food was mediocre but large portions. Well, it’s a theme restaurant....Did not expect amazing food and got proven right. The tar beer is very unique. Not my thing but do try it out when there.More
I appreciated the food, especially the meat. It took some time to have it cooked and delivered, but it was definitely worth it. Portions are small, compared to the price, but I guess that one could expect that, since the restaurant is in the center...of the city. I appreciated the design of the resturant, but I have to say that I would have appreciated a brighter environment. I understand the viking environment and everything, but when it's November and dark outside, I really appreciate to see some light if I go to eat somewhere. The customer service was okay: the waiters were kind, too bad they could not speak much of English!More

No, or if you don´t want to. Prices includes all costs and tips are not part of the waitresses salary. If you want to praise waitress, just say it to them or send e-mail to restaurant. Then bosses will know it and hopefully rewards the waitress otherwise. :) Normally tips are shared with all the staff which means that lazy waitress will benefit from hard-working waitresses work.
