Best beef in Helsinki

A really good and nice atmosphere, the beef (Black Agnus) were really tasty and made just perfect based our wishes. Avocado tartar and crab cake were excellent too. Service was friendly, we even got a recipe of the spicy sauce (Avocado tartar). Price was quite high but it’s really worth.

Excellent meat and warm service

Not luxury, sober and relaxed, the environment is quite stylish. No fancy recipes, more straight. We were attended to by a really friendly waitress with a lot of humour, which made the dinner with friends an even more pleasant event. I picked the steak, which was absolutely not a disappointment, as the meat was perfect and perfectly cooked - medium rare as I asked. A decent selection of wines is available.

The place to celebrate

I went for a dinner with my mum to celebrate my bachelor's degree a Wednesday evening in July. After hearing good feedback from two colleges from my work I decided this could be a nice place for a nice dinner. It definitely was. I enjoyed very second from stepping in to the restaurant until leaving it some four hours later. My mum and I enjoyed perfectly made Finnish tenderloin with delicious, high class side dishes. First of course some carefully prepared drinks and then the main course, followed by mouthwatering desserts. The wines were amazing and the service at the restaurant extraordinary. I was so satisfied when leaving the restaurant and I will definitely return, as well as recommend it for anyone who appreciate GOOD meat, high class service and a nice dinner.

The restaurant has one really good quality, its caring stuff.

we visited this restaurant, it was clean. The first thing that caught our eye was cleanliness. The service was above average. we asked for well done steak. I understand most chefs try to avoid it because it's tough, dry and flavorless. so our steak came to table it was tough and dry but still bloody inside, but salad was perfect and it was clear that they used fresh vegetables. I will defiantly go there and visit this restaurant again not because of food but because of their caring stuff, they have high standard for their employees there. special the African man with nice voice, since it was my birthday and they noticed that he sang the birthday song for me.

Delicious steak and excellent service

A very pleasant dinner here. I had made a reservation online, but this turned out not to be necessary. The welcome and service was friendly and efficient throughout. The restaurant offers a wide choice of steaks, sauces and sides, but there is also reindeer and duck. I found an Angus steak and chips at the back of the menu for 29€, the best deal on offer, and the meat was tender and tasty. Wine is predictably expensive with nothing less than 10€ for a small glass. Water (fizzy or flat) and bread were served free of charge. So my total meal cost was 60€.

Terrible steak. Ok ambience

Worst steak I’ve ever had. Dry, tough and tasteless. I ordered the dry aged Butchers Choice. 48 Euros for 200 grams. I’ve had better steaks in cheap pubs. Side dishes were quite ok. Quite nice ambience and service is fine. But a steak restaurant with terrible steak is truly bizarre....

Sunday night impromptu dinner

Booked a table online 45 min the desired dinner time. Very practical as most venues require you call that close to actual booking. Good covid-19 arrangements so felt safe. The lettuce wedge was very tasty and the sirloin steak perfectly cooked. No room for dessert after a plentiful meal

Excellent food and service. Every dish was tasty and everyone in our 9 person table were satisfied with what they were served. (Free choise) The meat was really superb and well made. Just as you would expect from a ”steakhouse”. It was not very cheap, but well worth the price.

Try the Reindeer

I went there by myself based on a review to try the reindeer, it was fantastic. The service was good and the place was quiet, although it was fairly early. The price guide might be on the low side. Main, desert and two glasses of wine came in at 110 euro (I had the pricey options though). If you want to try something a little different it’s worth a look.

Steak options all around with great wine and lovely desserts

I had reindeer here for the first time and it was fantastic! So tender and juicy and med rare was just right. I also tried some bites of the angus and Waygu from friends plates and the reindeer everyone agreed outshines them all. The tartar app was amazing as was the warm choc lava like cake with ice cream. Will be back. Setting was lovely old red brick building whic I understood was part of old paper mill, or right next to it on the water. You can easily walk a bridge to cross the river and soak in some of the Tampere atmosphere

It was a ripoff

Our grilled ribs for kids were so dry that even they were so hungry, they can’t finish it. My steak was really salty and my wife fish meal had only potato. Worse than a normal lunch in average restaurants. Huge disappointment.

Great tasting food, very good service, good location

Went for a business dinner with a party of about 16 people. Service was very good, friendly, knowledgeable. Food was great and nicely presented. I recommend this place. For meal options- I recommend reindeer and beef tartare.

Very good restaurant for a nice dinner

Try to make reservations as it can get busy. Great place for a very nice dinner. Very nice wine selection. I had the findland steak and my wife had the duck and both were incredibly good and well seasoned. The wedge salad was one of the better ones I've had anywhere. Make sure to save room for dessert.

Excellent steaks and good service

Excellent steaks and good service. This was my third business dinner in Stefan's steakhouse with 10+ guests. Dietary restrictions are well taken into account in the context of steakhouse. The meat quality has been excellent every time. My favourite: Butcher's choise - Marbled sirloin in dry-aged fat.

One of Helsinki’s top restaurants

Been here few times. And tested lot of restaurant’s and my oppinion that this one is one of the best there is in helsinki. This time tasting menu, and all of them were great or better. Not of course the cheapest one to choose, but rather pay a litle bit more and get excelent food than pay still lot and not get good food. So highly recommend
