Dined here with my wife on 29th Jan. on the plus side the food portions were generous and the food was tasty. However service was a disaster - my soup came well before my wife’s starter, followed shortly after by my main ( still no sign of food for my wife). It then transpired my wife’s main and starter were coming together - no means of keeping food warm when it did come. Wine we asked for never came. We paid circa 60 Euros for the privilege- guess what we didn’t tip!! At the end we got a very weak apology that the restaurant had been busy.

We were a group of 20 so it was a tough job handling the food requests; non-spicy, spicy and vegetarian.
But the restaurant was very accommodating! Service was friendly and patient!
Very full already by 7pm and quite many tables occupied by Chinese patrons. Always a good sign.
Dumplings and Peking Duck were absolutely delicious. Succulent in a spicy soup sauce and boneless Peking Duck - crispy and tasty. Dessert was of course crispy fried bananas and ice cream. All freshly done. Not soggy like in other places.
Other dishes took a bit of time coming out but to be fair, it was a busy Saturday night. The food came out hot and freshly cooked. No rush for us so it was fine.
Will definitely be back!

Well, this was my first time but definitely not the last. Haven't been a great fan of Chinese restaurant menus in Finland but at the same time I've heart that mostly they are not the real deal. I've been wanted to try Sichuan kitchen for quite a while and now it finally happened and I have to say that it was just like I wanted it to be: rich, spicy and pleasing. We tried a couple of mains: Mapo Tofu & Pork and Chili + Sichuan Cucumber salad as starter. There were really comforting flavour kind of familiar but at the same time something totally new and I liked it a lot. A wide variety of different chillies and peppers combined with colours and sour flavour kept the flavour trip interesting all the way. The most interesting new acquaintance was Sichuan pepper itself which gives something totally new to your taste. Oh wow, this was good one!

We arrived without reservation which wasn't a problem. Out of many good choices we had shrimp dim sums followed by beef noodles and fried rice with shrimps. The service, atmosphere and the food was excellent. Go there.

Amazing food! The staff were very helpful and kind showing us the vegan menu items they had. Our only criticism is that the portions were HUGE! We struggled our way through both dishes and overate, the restaurant could serve smaller dishes and lower the prices and would have the place full in a matter of days 😊

This is my favourite Chinese place in Finland, especially as three other favourites in Helsinki had to close in the last two years. Mei Lin has deep roots in Helsinki, although it has changed location a couple of times. I have visited here many times for lunch and for dinner. They have an excellent selection of vegan dishes also! I especially love their cucumber salad, fried string beans, mapo tofu and fried shredded potato.

The food was amazing - i had a whole vegetarian feast. Staff was super friendly, kind and the place was also really welcoming. I finished everything i ordered - slaw salad, spring rolls, veggie dumplings in chili sauce and peanut noodles. YUM!

Very nice and polite waitress. However, the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered chicken fry, and almost no chicken was inside—just a huge amount of fried flour full of sugar and MSG! Such a big scam!

Great little restaurant. We’re here in Helsinki on a holiday trip and my family was craving Chinese food. This place did not disappoint. The lunch menu portions were plenty. And definitely fairly priced. We got four different dishes and shared.

The most horrendous food experience. The food on the plate was unrecognisable, it was supposed to Sechuan pork. The suppously pork was hard crisply pieces junks.
Everybody of our group had different, some took the daily lunch me
Our group is normally very talkative but junk food silenced us totally.

Visited the place today for quick dinner. The service staff was helpful with giving us the better seats.Its a busy place with quick turnover. Lots of delievry orders were also going. The Food came quickly. As per Finnish standard i would say food was decent. The prices are also very copeptetive. Our bill was around 70 € for 3 persons a la carte. Looking at Finnish food culture i would reccommend this place.

Food is perfect, just what you would expect. The dishes were large so it was a shame I could not try 1/2 dishes of any other dishes. Small things here and there could be fixed, such as serving water from a broken glass.

I have been there many times and I have never been disappointed whatever I have tried. I have loved every dish, whatever my friends or family have tried they have enjoyed everything as well! Everything about the place is amazing - service is kind, space is cute and small and the food!!! I recommend woth all my heart! Best chinese in Finland for sure! ♥️
