Seating is tight but presentation and service were top notch. We chose the food of the day, never know what it is until you arrive, but they also have staples you can order. We do not say this lightly, but our meal at Muru was one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives (and we have had many). You will need a reservation. Tasting menu with wine pairings was only $125 per person and that was a...huge bargain. The blackened whitefish was superb. The cheese course was surprisingly delightful as were the somewhat unusual wine choices. I think everyone in the place was Finnish except for us. We will be back for sure the next time we are in Helsinki.More

I took my guest from Spain there for a glass of wine and maybe something to eat. The wine list did not look good and glasses smelled horribly eggy. We decided to skip the food since the staff was really arrogant. I couldn't even bring...the water glass close to me since it had a disgusting smell. I have been there in the past for a couple of times, always invited by someone else. As I remember the same problem with the smelly dishes has been my biggest issue there. I am sure I would not be going there by choice any time soon. In my opinion when you pay a good price for a glass of wine, at list you should be able to drink it.More

We had a 5 course meal at Muru and every single course was excellent. My husband is a picky eater and even he enjoyed all courses. The restaurant was busy and has a nice environment, and the wine list is excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Wines and service excellent and food was good. We had a gift certificate for daily menu. We had to take winepackace, what excellent choice, because all white wines was excellent better than normal. The red wine was good also. Menu with four courses was normal...taking account of the restaurant level.More
