We enjoyed a dinner with friends before entering to escape room nearby. The service, food and cozy athmosphere are all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Highly recommended❤️

We were enjoing great evening with friends. In the end one of desserts was missing. First the waitress promised coffee for free, but after a second she came back saying thats not possible. We all were really disappointed and we asked if this the way...of creating good customer experience? Waitress said that manager called Christina has decided this and that is their protocol?? Immediately after we paid we were told that we should leave due to next booking. Food was good and fresh pasta home made. We cannot recommed the place unfortunately.More

Ate here last night after finding it on TripAdvisor and wasn't disappointed. It's a little bit young and hip for my age (especially as it got later into the evening and the bar scene heated up). But we had a great time. The vitello tonnati...was my choice for starter and it was described as Italian comfort food and I liked it. Otherwise, the starters menu was kind of hard for us to navgiate as I was hoping to have beef carpaccio, but confused myself and realized that it was beef tartare, which I don't like instead. (The carpaccio was of sea bream.) My wife had the arranchini were were good, but they're only fried rice balls. We both had the simple pasta with butter and cheese prepared in the cheese wheel, which I'd somehow never seen before but appareantly it's common in Italy. The cheese was perfect for the dish, not too salty. Had a quick gelato for dessert and we were off.More

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, food ok. Maybe a bit expensive as the pasta was nothing special. The dessert was very tasty though.

the food was extremely disappointing . start from appetizer- we ordered deep fried herrings bruschetta which was very average, herring was a bit too fishy , without the crunchiness. Then pastas we had Risotto al nero di Seppia( Black cuttlefish risotto ) which was beyond...terrible to be honest. It was bitter , a bit watery and tasteless, we could fish out three small pieces of cuttlefish. We also had Cavatelli alla Norma ( pasta with deep fried aubergine/ eggplant ) which was ok. disaster comes to side dish - Patate Arrosto (deep fried potatoes) it was so dry and overcooked and oily . Tasted like the potato was pre-cooked and been sitting in the heated canteen pan for 100years. So dryyyyyy …It’s kind of impossible to cook the deep fried potato this bad… (Maybe chef was not in a good mood) We were so looking forward to add desserts at the end with another one or two wines, but after all the terrible dishes we had , we couldn’t wait to settle our bill and leave. One thing I’d like to mention is the service was really good. The waitress who looked after our table was nice and attentive .More

Me and my family visited Locanda Scappi this summer. We were a group of seven persons, and although the restaurant was almost fully booked, they managed to arrange a table for us in only 10 minutes. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food and...service was great! When we left, I unfortunately forgot my readingglasses, but didn't notice until I was back in Sweden again... :-( I contacted Locanda Scappi and they had found the glasses and were very helpful and sent them to me!!!More

The interior of the restaurant is very mediocre, we took pasta from cheese wheel (17 euros) with extra truffle for 5 euros per 1 gram as you can see from the picture that I took. Pasta was ok, nothing special at all but this 1...gram truffle on the top is a joke, it doesn’t give any smell or taste, I’m sure it’s possible to put more truffle and not for extra price because now it’s season and the truffle is not that expensive. The only advantage of the restaurant is friendly staff but I wouldn’t recommend this place for visiting.More

Jälkiruoka, paahtovanukas, oli oikein maukas. Ruuat tulivat erittäin nopeasti, ja palvelu oli ihan ok. En suosittele menemään, Helsingistä löytyy paljon parempia italialaisia ravintoloita. Burrata appetizer was...hard, other main course lacked flavour and the other was swimming in butter - presentation was ugly in all the dishes mentionted above. The dessert, crema bruciata, was tasty though. Our dishes came out very quickly and the service was ok. Would not recommend, there are much better italian places in Helsinki.More

Stopped in for an early dinner. Vitello tonnato was good, but tartare de manzo was absolutely tasteless, unless plain raw mince is your thing. Not even a hint of any spices, nor salt. Octopus (polpa e ceci) tough, not tenderised enough. More under than slow...cooked. Served with "all dente" chick peas. That could upset somebody's stomach. Fresh and big and nice mussels! The frozen-thawn langostinos only worsened the dish, why have them? The sauce was very good: olives and tomato. we duely complained about these things and some dicount was given on main courses. The waiter suggeested we try pasta nesxt tim because it´s good. There hardly will be next time. Desserts: Zuppa inglese was good, but was there any real mascarpone in tiramusu? taste3d more like vegetable based white cake topping/ filling if you know what I mean. Nice esprossos. Service was just fine and got tipped too (even if this is Finland) The wines were directly from ALKO the stae monopol store with some Finland) The wines were directly from ALKO the state monopoly store with some +200% profit margin. No Sommelier or own import from Italy? In Katjanokka there is very little non-fine dining options so they can thrive?More

We came with high expectations since there has been a hype about this place in social media. Unfortunately we were quite dissapointed. Most of us started with Vitello Tonato which was really badly oversalted. We all said the same comment about that dish. Moving on...to the pasta - tagliatelle con scampi lacked flavour and was very bland. Also for the price (26€) would have expected more scampi, the amount was quite ridiculous (there was hardly any). Crema Bruciata was great. Service was okay, but lacked charisma so to say. What I mean with this is that they were okay and polite but no more than that - no smiles, no passion, nothing extra what great service is all about. On average the place is okay but not so that we would return.More

I recently reserved a dinner for our company get together. We had never been here and had no idea what to expect but from before I even got to the restaurant, their service was impeccable. They answered all my emails as I had to take...a cake to the restaurant before our reservation. Once we got there, service was just top-notch. We were a group 10 and had a few different waiters. They were quick to respond to any requests, quick with service and happy to help throughout our evening. I departed around 10pm, we started already at 6pm but some of our group were having such a good time they stayed until the restaurant closed, haha. Anyway, if I could give them a 10/10 I would. The food was delicious, the wine recommendations perfect and everyone complimented the food and had a fabulous evening so thank you! I will definitely book more events at your venue in the future.More

Very good experience! Pastas and pizzas were delicious, the place was nice and the staff was friendly. Exceptionally quick reaction for the intention to pay the bill, which was great customer service. I will definitely cole again!
