This restaurant is now called Ravintola Base Camp. Great Nepalese food and very reasonably priced. Spicy but still with a lot of taste and not just "hot". I had Momo chicken for starter and Chicken Tikka Sizzlar as main. The sizzlar comes with the sauce...mixed with the chicken in the pan, many sizzlars has sauce on the side, I liked this on though. Both was very spicy and delicious, included NAN, mynth and youghurt sauce, 29Eur. Size were large on both and I could not finish all even though I wanted too. Very friendly and service minded staff. Restaurant operates upstairs, so if looks empty walk up. I definitely coming back.More

We went here because appearently it's hard to find restaurants in Helsinki, that are open after 18:00. It offers service at the table (very nice people), which doesn't seem to be common as well. As we like indian cusine we wanted to try nepalesian food....It was delicous. We had butter chicken and lamb curry, both were spiced but not too much. The naan bread was the best I ever ate and it was a reasonable price regarding the amount of food provided. Prices went from 15 to 25 for a main course. Desserts were good as well. I can recommend the nepalesian Tea (with milk). On the negative side: the restaurant looks empty at first glance, because they operate it at the first floor, so nobody is downstairs. It's located in a ugly building and you have no nice sight. The inside is decorated nice, nothing too special. That's why I don't rate full 5 points.More

Typical Nepalise restaurant well located in Hakaniemi. Food was very good and nicely set on plate. Good choise for vegetarians as well. Tikka beer was tasty, could recommend. Polite service and reasonably priced. The restaurant is ideally located in Hakaniemi, close to tram and metro...stations.More

A favourite lunch place and still full "4 stars" for lunch - but for a dinner place I would maybe pick something else. The list is extensive, and some dishes, like the momo's are excellent, but some are just so-so. The prices are also higher...whereas in lunch-time the price-quality -ratio is really good. Also at lunch it seems they always pick their "safest" choices, foods that are good&tasty, whereas from the a'la carte menu, the customer would need to know what they do well. So, as a summary: if you want a nice Nepalese lunch, this is the place.More
