We arranged an evening event (black tie) for 80 people. Sit-down three-course dinner. I can recommend the place. All the arrangements went well. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty. We also had the wine bar for our private use, which everyone...appreciated. It has a nice, cozy atmosphere.More

Great place, very friendly staff and delicious food. Fresh ingredients, good price, several dishes, fresh juice, coffee/tea for 18 euro or with a glas of cava for 24 euro. Everything served to the table. Cosy, clean, frindly place. Nice chairs.

We were down at the harbor to get some specialty items at the Old Market and, on our way back to the metro we stopped here for lunch, except they only served brunch at that time. Were we pleasantly surprised! The brunch consisted of a...starter of a Finnish berry smoothie without added sugar, a small glass but just enough. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice was next. My fiance and I decided to order an extra glass of cava, which went great with the meal overall. The meal was superb. Freshly made tomato soup that our daughter tried and said "pappa, ti tastes just like when mom makes sauce" and this was a compliment to the soup. On the side we all got cheese melts, nice slabs of bread with 3 melted cheeses atop (Gruyere, Gouda and I forget what the third was) and some spices. Crunchy, warm, flavorful and great to dip in the soup. On the side there was a plate with marinated mushrooms and scrambled eggs that came presented in closed mason jars. Let me just say, these were the absolute best scrambled eggs I have had in my life! My first taste was like... is this eggs, eggs with cheese, or cheese? They were not lumpy but this soft cream, whipped and creamy all in one. I can't rave enough about these eggs. I tried to get them to explain how the made them, but it makes sense they'd be neutrally reserved about sharing that state secret! My daughter started dipping bits of her marinated mushrooms and I tried and it was a great combo. On the side was a greens salad with all sorts of unique leafy things. Red lettuce, celery root, pickled cauliflower bits. I would have liked a little more dressing flavor and smaller bites on some leaves, but the taste was wonderful. Afterwards, this brunch came with dessert (!!!) of small individual lemon meringue pies and coffee. After this we could have been rolled away so I honestly would suggest to you guys at Sofia if you read this, skip the dessert or make it something much smaller, like a specialty cookie. It was good, but over the top. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Alas, because they were organizing an event for later that day int he Sofia event hall next door, the service was slow. What could have been a 45 minute meal took an hour and a half and mad us late. I can't tell you how it is when they aren't organizing events, this was our own personal experience. The brunch was, without the cava €18 per person, so extremely affordable for the quantity and quality. Half price for kids (she got smaller servings of the same foods). And as you might have not noticed, vegetarian. If you want to meet someone downtown for brunch, this is the first place I'd recommend. And the second and third :)More
