Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super average food for average prices. Nice service, everything looked bit dated and old, but it is kind of normal problem in these nepalese/indian places. There are better alternatives.

The butter chicken was extremely bland, I couldn’t even finish it. The samosa was just okay. There’s similar restaurants that are way better nearby

Basic nepalese food, excellent and quick service, clean restaurant. Also suitable with children. Bread was really tasty!

My wife and I called in here whilst staying at the nearby Crowne Plaza We ordered a dish each and when it arrived we were pleasantly surprised to have rice, naan bread, a bit of salad and some sauce The food was very tasty and...served very quickly. I would recommend this place for a different type of dishMore

We happened to go this way, and found that this would be a good place for dinner. We had four different plates, and everything was excellent! The naan-bread was very good:) Good service, too!

The weather last sunday was great and also the food too! Me and my friend took the ”eat-week’s” special two plates combained and my sister ate the palak paneer-dish. We’ve been visiting the restaurant since the beginning of the year, that’s our favourite nepalese restaurant...so far! Unfortunately on the next day we all caught the norovirus...More

We visited for quick lunch. Waiter was welcoming and attentive. We had two types of thalies and they both were nice, portions weren’t too small and mid range price was affordable. We possibly would visit again if we were around.

Very delicious food and the service also was great. We enjoyed so much, so went more than one time. If we stayed longer, this place would have been one of our regular restaurant.

The food was simple but it was extremely tasty. I loved the daal and rice - I wish I could go again just to eat that. The naan was great too. You get rice, daal, salad and naan with every curry ordered. Really good value...for money! The paneer tikka was not spicy at all - that would the only complaint but it was still tasty.More

This is the first Nepalese restaurant I have ever been to and it was well worth the wait. It is cheap by Helsinki standards, but the standard of their fare is superior to many of their more expensive competitors. Their servings are generous with papadams,...naan bread, rice and dips included in the price of a curry. A bottle of wine is inexpensive, with a half litre of Lapin Kulta (local beer) coming in at around 5.20 euros, which it must be stressed, is competitively priced. Lukla Ravintola will not disappoint, quality or monetarily wise!More

In Helsinki many restaurants are closed on Sunday, but this one was open. In addition we had seen Nepalese restaurants all over Finland and were curious about the food. It was similar to Indian, well prepared and very flavorful. There was plenty of food that...came with the meal including a cracker like bread, naan, daal, salad and rice. Service was attentive, but we were never rushed. The restaurant also did a good bit of carry out business so it seemed to be popular with locals. Definitely a good choice for dinner and I would recommend it.More

We’re enjoyed a nice lunch here after a long morning of traveling. The food was flavorful and abundant and rice, naan and a salad was included with each dish making for a complete, reasonably priced meal.

Accidentally stumbled into Lukla, what I found was an amazing Nepalese restaurant. I had tomato soup as starter, main course was garlic chicken and the result was amazing lunch! Service was very good and fast. Also tried Nepalese tea which was very delicious. The lunch...costed 19e which I think was extremely cheap considering the food quality and restaurant location.More

Needed something to eat but did not to pay for hotel room service. Lukla was across the street. Service was fine and the curries had right amount of spice and flavour. Ordered 2 mains and both came with rice and a naan! 20ish euros...bargain! Can...recommend.More

Small, unassuming place to the NW of the city centre, but only 10 mins walk. My selection was more Indian than Nepalese, as was my colleagues, but the food was very good, there was plenty of it (rice, bread, daal/sambols and the main all included)...and it was very good value indeed (under 50 euros for 2 of us, with beer), which for central Helsinki is very reasonable. Don't be put off by the price; I've eaten a lot of SE Asian food and this was good - sorry, but I can't remember what my selection was. Staff and the place was a little quiet, but I enjoyed my meal.More
