Enjoyed a great Nepalese meal with Himalaya house wine, which was not from Nepal (although the waiter told us so) but from Spain . As the first course we had shrimps and for the main a mixture of lamb and shrimp. Everything was really tasty....Service was very friendly! A place worth visiting when in Helsinki!More

We arrived with a friend of mine on a Sunday afternoon to have dinner. The place was quite full, but we got a table upon arrival and placed our order. The waiter did not mention at any point that there would be a long wait....But it was; it took an hour and a half to get our order, which is incomprehensive! We asked about the wait twice, but they just said, that there’s a queue in the kitchen. They didn’t apologize for the long wait, give any complementary papadam nor even offer the possibility to order starters or drinks or anything. When the food finally arrived, it could be seen that it was rushed. The naan bread could have been baked a bit longer and the vegetable balls in tarkari kofta were a bit uncooked. But at that point we were so hungry we didn’t even bother to complain. When we left the restaurant, I gave feedback about the outrageous wait and suggested that they mention about the queues to customers upon arrival so they can make an informed decision whether to stay or not. The waiter didn’t really comment anything which made me think that they don’t care about customer satisfaction. I’m never going back to the restaurant and I don’t recommend it to others either.More

The Mt Everest Vilhola was just around the corner from our hotel and after 7 weeks touring and 3 weeks in Scandinavia we were looking for a different taste and this fitted the plan. Staff were pleasant and helpful, especially as we were there early...in the evening, not long after opening time. For us the meals were not Indian as we usually would get in AUS, but not sure as to true Napalse either. Little extras like supplying naan bread as a side at no extra cost impressed. Both my travelling companion and I had no complaints with this venue. I fulfilled our requirements for that evening adequately.More

I went there for a lunch and took the meal with me home. It was professionally packed and was still warm at home. The food was very good and tasted great. And the price was very reasonable, only 13€.

We did have a nice evening meal in this Nepal Restaurant. Many guests ,but smiling and fast working staff. It is located close to the CS. Restaurant style is like Indian and Pakistan restaurants. Large menu card. They do have out door serving, but mid...august evenings in Helsinki can be cold: Did get some very nice not to spicy food and there was pleanty of it. Price very much ok.More

We liked this restaurant so much, we ate there twice during our 3 day stay in Helsinki. It was just around the corner from our hotel. We made reservations for Saturday night and when we returned, we were seated right away. The first night we...ate here, we had full meals. Delicious! Plenty of food, at a very moderate price. When we returned, two nights later, we wanted to eat lighter and ordered an appetizer and soups. Again, no disappointments. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to those that like Indian food.More

Indian or Nepali dishes, they are really the same to me. The dhal, dhal bat or thali, nan and the curative properties of the aromatic cuisine just tickles my tummy and a very inviting way to get me in the door. So yes, I snuck...out here alone away from the group. They have outside dining but it was funny to see plastic and fake plants when everyone else in town have fresh bright flowers. They serve wine and hot tea for drinks. I opted for the tea and the dhal makhani with basmati rice. The food was served warm and the server and the owners took their time and visited with me. If you see the Remax sign on the brown building on the other block of main square, they are located to the left of there, another proximate restaurant to our hotel. I recommend because I was happy with their food.More
