Helsinki is an expensive city! For almost what you'd pay in a cafe for 1 sandwich and a cup of coffee you can eat here as much as you like, authentic Finnish food...yes even eat Rudolf (LOL)
I did try both the Reindeer stew and the Smoked Reindeer soup and they were both interesting!
Not really a fan of Finnish cousine (not even the locals seem to like it!) but when you are here you def. MUST try it and this is the place to do it!
Great service with a smile, very friendly attitude, everything looked perfectly prepared, lots of choices (liked the oven baked salmon), you can eat as much as you want and I am sure there is something for everyone in the self service buffet.
The decoration is beautiful and for me the best proof that the food here is very good, a guy came from the kitchen put some food on his plate and went back to eat it!
Pretty sure he knows better than me!

We got in to Helsinki kind of late, and very hungry. Fortunately this lovely place was just across the street from our Airbnb. It was a perfect introduction to Finland. The people were so nice, it’s buffet style, we were told what everything was and encouraged to try everything. The food was good and the whole place was welcoming. If you want to experience Finnish food this is the best way to do it!!

last week we decided to take a ferry and go to Helsinki. we visited the city and before returning to tallin we went to this restaurant. 24 euros per person for "all you can eat" of Finnish cuisine: simply fantastic! many choices: appetizers, first courses and soup. All delicious, the ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. The reindeer meat was amazing. there were vegetables, potatoes, salmon soup, many starters, 2 types of fish and 3 types of meat. If you come to Helsinki you must visit this restaurant. Everything was perfect and the price is good (especially for the Finnish standard). The restaurant is very nice and the staff is nice. the girl who welcomed us is very nice and gave us all the information about the food! RECOMMENDED

We were a group of 10 people having the evening buffet with wines and desserts. The selection was broad with soup, salads/cold cuts and warm dishes.
This is a Finnish/Karelian restaurant serving traditional Finnish dishes. Good quality and tasty. Some delays with the service a couple of times during the evening but there seemed to be a wedding party in the opposite room so we understood their effort to make their evening perfect.
I recommend this restaurant and especially the buffet for trying different Finnish dishes.

The vegan options: the waitress told us what was vegan but that didn't cover everything (and I couldn't have remembered it all anyway) and so signs at the buffet table would have been useful. There were a few dishes that were vegan but I generally couldn't recommend this place for people who want to lower their carbon footprints. Of course all the traditional food features heavily in fish and meat but we can't afford to think that way... I guess their cliantele really insists on all the butter etc. or they think they do.
The waiters were quite busy and we had to go signal them we wanted to order more ourselves.
We did get some free wine, possibly because we were a newly wedded couple. Cheers for that!

I chose to visit as I was looking for somewhere in Helsinki to have traditional Finnish food where the price wasn't too high, what attracted me to this restaurant was the all you can eat buffet as I felt I would be able to get good value for the price.
I went on the weekend (Saturday) and was asked if I had a reservation, which I did not, however the friendly young man who greeted me seated me at a table. The place is not large at all which i had not expected. The buffet is located on a few tables right by the kitchen area. There were hot options on one table with vegetables and boiled/ mashed potatoes alongside and then cold options on another with sauces and baskets with bread on a shelf above. To the other side were a couple of soup tureens. The food was labelled on the outside of the containers so you knew what you were picking.
Once seated the server explained I could help myself. I think there is a drinks menu and a dessert menu but I opted for tap water and only the buffet so did not see these. I saw several people drinking beer so this seemed a popular choice.
I tried the smoked reindeer soup with a couple of slices of rye bread and a Karelian pastry. The soup was flavorsome and had small pieces of smoked meat in it which I really enjoyed. I then had the barley with saute reindeer as well as bit of the cooked salmon. I was also excited to try the fish roe they had with the cold fish and salad choices. Everything was cooked well and had nice flavours, I saw that the food levels were checked regularly and things were topped up from the kitchen when running low.
As mentioned the restaurant is small, so there was sometimes a queue of people waiting to select their food, but everyone worked out a way in which to keep the line moving. The only thing I didn't see was hand sanitizer near the food to clean your hands before using the utensils, which I personally would have liked, but may have just overlooked.
If you have a big appetite and want to make the most of trying different Finnish options then this is a good place to come, take a look at their website before hand which lists the food available so you know what to expect.

Our first night in Helsinki, and we were very hungry from our long flight and wanted to try "real" Finnish food. Konstan Molja fit the bill on every count with their all you can eat Finnish Buffet. So many delicious appetizers, soup, main entrees, and their house made ale (aromatic, smooth and delicious accompaniment to the food). They also point out vegetarian and gluten free options. The hostess was patient and helpful explaining the many dishes and how to pair toppings with food items (such as lingonberry with the stewed reindeer) and Santir was friendly as he made his rounds to clear dishes and help you pay your check. It is a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed the appetizers and herring more than I thought I would because of delicate flavors and seasonings; it was so much better than comparative items in the States. And a tip, a "paired down" but still plentiful buffet menu is available at lunch for less than half the cost. This is the place to go to get a wonderful overview of Finnish food and would be perfect to rest/relax after a day of walking around Helsinki and working up your appetite.

I would recommend this restaurant when getting a first taste of the Finnish kitchen, especially for people on a budget. However, if you have a slightly bigger budget a not-buffet-style restaurant might nice to do too as you get to enjoy a full traditional meal instead of seperate parts of one. The food was good, the personnel was very friendly and the price was very reasonable.

We went for the buffet. Too expensive for my taste. This restaurant was small so there was a long line for the buffet table - from the front door and from the tables. I didn’t like it - had to watch out for people passing by all the time. The buffet table could have been located somewhere else, because the people in line had to avoid the staff and other customers by constantly moving to the side.
The main course and dessert ran out after a while and we had to wait for more of them to be brought.
No more water was brought to the tables, so more had to be taken from the free table next to ours.
Food wasn’t anything special. Really. Had better anywhere else and much lower price.
The interior of the restaurant and the music were good.

Dining is expensive in the evening in Helsinski. A buffet for €36 therefore seems like a good deal. Unfortunately if you add the drinks (only the carafe of water is offered) then the desserts, the bill adds up quickly... Only one variety of soup offered (pea soup that evening.... we regret the excellent salmon soup eaten the day before in the port market square); fairly narrow buffet of access and dishes mainly salad and basic accompaniment products for the main dishes: grilled salmon and/or reindeer stew and/or goulash accompanied by two or three varieties of vegetables. Nice decoration for those who eat with their eyes. Pleasant and emphatic staff.

Nice place with a typical old finnish style.
All you can eat option only at 28 euro drinks excluded.
It is quite cheap compared to helsinki average prices.
There are several fresh fish assortments and sides plus few selections of main dishes, meat and fish and vegetarian.
It is all good, maybe not the best you can eat but very good considering that is all you can eat.
Drinks prices are reasonable as well.
You must try!

I was prejudiced. I had booked it after visiting the sites of various other places reported by the Finnish Guide because it offered a buffet of typical Finnish specialties for 38 euros, which is a much below average price for the "real" restaurants of the city (and the whole country), so my partner could get a better idea of the local gastronomy, but I was puzzled. I knew it was set up in "Deep Finland" style, definitely touristy. And then with buffets you never know how it ends. I was wrong: the offer of food was wide and the quality of everything we tasted (no small thing!): various appetizers, three different stews, two cooked fish (very well prepared, both perch and salmon), three smoked or marinated, was remarkable. With a note of excellence for reindeer and cheese soup and barley with peas. And also the drinks section, where one could suspect the hitch, was valid: pleasant opening cocktails, good - I am assured - the recommended organic red wine, remarkable the "schnapps of General Mannerheim" drunk at the end. It all cost me, for two, 113 euros. I assure you that eating so well - and at will - for this amount in Finland is a mirage. So promotion with flying colors, with a "very good" that thanks to the value for money deserves a leap in excellence.
