Good steaks, expensive wine

We were welcomed in by a very friendly waitress who unfortunately disappeared on us in the course of the evening. Our steaks were good and cooked to our specifications but the wine was expensive (although we don’t know what the going rate in Helsinki is). €19.20 for a big glass, €10.70 for a small glass. €95 for two steaks, two small bottles of water and the two glasses of wine. My husband was a bit disappointed by the seasoning on his steak as he asked for a plain one but still enjoyed it.

Excellent steak house for steak lovers with big appetites

Excellent steak of truly huge proportions! This very friendly and professional restaurant hosted 12 of us for a business dinner and gave us superbly cooked steaks and wonderful atmosphere. The 300g royal steak was cooked and seasoned very well and tasted wonderful without any sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant for steak lovers with big appetites!

This is the third time here in the past year and I will be honest it was all about the garlic escargot with blue cheese which was sublime the previous 2 times. Initially I felt rushed when I arrived but I think this was down to me not the establishment. My big disappointment wad the dish I was looking forward where in the past the escargot had more solid blue cheese which appeared to have Benn grilled however this time it was more of a sauce over the garlic escargot which did not work for me. However the steak this time stood out and the peppercorn sauce utilised for the chips only. As a wise yank once said to me if you need sauce on your steak it's not a good one. This one definitely did not and was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. Hence the rating escargot has slid back but steak improved 😁

1. The place looks nothing like on the picture. It must have been taken with some special lights on. In reality it is super dark, feels almost like a shady basement bar. Very bad ventilation, no air. Maybe they want people to eat quickly and leave because its not a place were you could stay longer than necessary. 2. The cook on the steak was ok as ordered, slightly underseasoned, but the issue is that they clearly know nothing about resting the steak, it was bleeding all over the both of our plates. Something that even a beginner chef knows is that steak must be rested before serving. 3. Bearnaise sauce that I chose- clearly came from package and heated up, below expectations for sure. 4. Staff was slightly unfriendly, very short answers. I ordered a gin tonic and soda water in a 1l pitcher (as in the menu). Gin tonic was good but got served a glass of soda water, a lot smaller than 1l obviously. I asked where is the pitcher, got an answer "we don`t have". A bit later a 1l pitcher of regular tap water shows up on our table- I was confused, asked what is that? The guy just looked at me with not a happy face, didn`t say a word and left... Later he lightened up a bit but in overall it did not feel good to be there. And as a cherry on top, we were charged the price of 1l pitcher of soda water which we did not get... But I did not feel to bring it up as he was clearly not in a talking mood and not someone you could reason with. We dont get poorer from being scammed with water, just simply won`t go back there again and definitely do not recommend this place.

Right decision in the end. We stopped off at this establishment as it looked inviting. My royal steak was as ordered and very tasty. My wife Ordered Pasta with garlic and herbs, unfortunately it had chilli flakes which was not advertised on menu, my wife was unable to eat the dish which spoilt our experience. Initially there was a discussion about payment and in the end the item was removed from the bill. Any other combination of we can cook you something else when I had finished the meal was unacceptable. Thankfully sense prevailed and we suggested that they included the ingredients fully.

Nice interiour with a 90-touch. Menu is aclassic steakhouse menu where you pick your meat, your side and your sauce. Starters are ok and you have about 6 to choose from. Main was ok not more, overall it was to little taste and to little service to get more than 3-stars

We went for lunch to the manhattan steakhouse. The place was very busy, but we got a table in minutes. After ordering our food we waited for 20 minutes. The beef tenderloin was o.k. a little on the welldone side. Our daughters entrecote was tasty, but the meatquality was bad. There was too much of fat in and around of the steak. The locations is charming with chilly music in the background. Friendly but stressed staff. Value for money: medium

Good meat and good service

We were interested in visiting this place because of the meat they offered and it was a good choice, as we ordered a cut called "Grillipihvi" of 200 gr (€33.90) accompanied by potato chips and a Manhattan burger (€24) accompanied by some mozzarella fingers (€6.9), all this alongside our drinks an aperol spritz (€14.9) and a gin and tankray with tonic (€15.5). Overall, the food was quite good, especially the meat cut and the attention was very friendly and attentive. In total, we pay €106 tip included.

Good steakhouse in the middle of Helsinki

The restaurant has very friendly and fast service even though it was quite busy. The steak was perfectly cooked and the side dishes were very fresh. The burger was very good and not too big. The fries were also very good and not salty. Which I personally prefer to oversalted.

Delicious food!

Perfectly cooked steak and tender served with fresh vegetables. We ordered baked potatoes which were also very tasty! The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our meal and would certainly return. It's a steak lovers heaven.

Great food and location in Helsinki

Small but great steak house in Finland. The customer service here is outstanding. The food was outstanding and the location is outstanding. We were skeptical of this just because of where we were but it was a showstopper once the level of detail of food and attention to detail was shown. This was just good all around and was happy to select this.

I ate a reindeer steak there for my birthday. And I was very satisfied, the steak was very tasty and soft. The place is cozy, and easy to find but a bit noisy (it was Saturday evening). The waitress was unfriendly and gave a short details.

A visit to Alexandria

The meeting to Alexandria were in the middle of the day at 11.00 am. Us a firm custom they every year will give a Christmas present as red wine. This is from Toscana Italy. They tried to sell more structured investments. I was hungry and took a pork meal.

American atmosphere and good food

We stopped at this place for lunch. Very central location, at the beginning of the esplanade that leads to the port. Simple place, American style, but very welcoming. Young and friendly staff, fast service. The second courses we had were all good, a mention for the salmon. The sauces are also very good. Great attention to children, as we have often found in Finland. Good price for the average place. Advised.
