Espoon Tapiolaan perustettiin vuonna 1970 Grilli Ravintola El Toro. Tämä ravintola on toiminut lähes samalla paikalla koko sen olemassa olon ajan. Ravintola jolla on yli 50-vuoden historia on melkoinen harvinaisuus tänä päivänä missä vain, mutta Grilli Toro on ehkä jopa koko Espoon vanhimpia yhtäjaksoisesti toimineita ravinto. Ruokamme on perinteistä Suomalaista grilli ravintola ruokaa. Ruokalista on konstailematon ja säilynyt lähes muuttumattomana, kuten on ravintolan sisustuskin.

I got the Saturday leave and figured out what to do. My plan to cook mussels with my girlfriend did not work out when she got sick. In stead I decided to drive to Grilli Toro in Espoo. The place was crowded, but I was lucky to enter before many people. I ordered pork escalope of the house. Tasteful.

Not a place for a romantic dinner, more like a truck drivers heaven with huge portions. Nobody is going to leave feeling hungry. Basic simple steaks with fries. Lunch atmosphere

This is a very traditional restaurant, do not expect fancy interior. Inexpensive at lunch time and serving pork in large portions.

Awful long service times during lunch hour. 35 minutes from order to plate on the table (typical lunch break in Finland is only 30 minutes).
This was my second time here, exactly the same experience.
Food is ok grill food, but I would suggest to avoid if you don’t have a lot of time.

We went there because friends told us about this place. We both had minute steaks, I had mine with baked potato and my husband had french fries. The minute steak was perfectly done, the butter had a lovely hinch of horse raddish in it and the side dishes were really nice. The place is a bit dated but that’s actually a part of its charm. The service was great. I actually wanted to have a grill steak but as I told the waitress that I wanted it well done, she recommended the minute steak instead and that was a good choice! I really recommend this place!

Meat was ok but french fries were terrible, it is very easy to find better. I’m wondering why they don’t fix that quality problem, it should be quite easy to make it better. I have had much better fries from many fast food grill. And Toro prices are very high versus the result. My dinner was about 45€. I will never order frech fries in Toro from now on. Next time maybe oven potatos…

I was in Alberga hostel rooms in s meeting and we discussed little of that I pick up Jane in the City of Helsinki. I phoned her a quarter after 4 pm and she want to see me after half an hour. She was hungry and I remembered Grilli Toro in Tapiola Espoo. We had steaks, I an Oscar and she Veal. Very nice, we liked them.

If you’re in Espoo, and want to have a good steak, this place is for you! Classic steak restaurant, interior from the 80’s, good food and nothing else. During lunch hours the restaurant is packed.
Unfortunately, this place is not for vegans 😊

Looking for gourmet? Turn around, there nothing for you. If you want to have a lunch at locally known place - go to Toro. This place is well known of it’s pepper steak and fries. Quite basic food, but still really tasty.

This is the hidden suburb gem for all those who are not asking for vegan low-cal options. The portions are american size big, steaks are prepared well and sides are pretty rustic, in a good way. The place is packed during lunch time with guys wearing neon coloured worker jackets. Would definetely recommend it, especially if you haven't eaten anything before lunch...

I took a Oscar schnitzel and I have to say that it was the worst ever. Greasy fries, grey schnitzel without any taste, bad sauce with shrimps and sloppy asparagus from the can. I had to return my dinner, it was totally disaster. Avoid this place!!!!!

My husband and sons love this simple restaurant in Northern Tapiola, Espoo. It has generous meals with good beef or other meat. Simple but good - if you like traditional beef and fries menu. The interior is modest, but the food is the reason to visit this restaurant.
