Food here is great, my husband and I have visited 4-5 times. We've asked for little bit of extra heat in our dishes and they've come out perfect. But every single time there has been some mix-up with the order. Once my husband ordered 1...non-alcoholic beer and was served 2 alcoholic beers, which we didn't drink. The "compromise" was that we only paid for one beer. Once we were billed for a bottle of wine we neither ordered nor were served. Once we got billed for wrong dishes, but at right prices. Once our order of extra heat didn't make it all the way to the kitchen. But the food is good, worth the hassle.More
Had lunch with my spuse on Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent, although there was a little bit of a mixup with our drink order. The waitress sorted the issue out superbly well. Out of the 4+ Indian/Nepalese places in Leppävaara area, I would rank...The Royal Peacock the best.More
We found out that the owner had changed 1 month ago. The food was very tasty! Service very friendly and helpful! Great experience and we will come again. Menu was very wide and offered different dishes both indian and nepaless
Been wanting to visit this place for a while as it looks rather groovy so stopped by on a friday evening to see the menu. As we asked for recommendations for something spicy and delicious, the waiter knew nothing. 'Everything is good. We have chicken,...lamb, vegetables...if you don't like, you don't pay' (his exact words). We said we're going next door for a few drinks and be back. Once back, his first words 'You are drunk now?'. We were in good spirits but not drunk, and I found the comment quite inappropriate. Again, my husband tried to ask for recommendations, but got none. We then chose Royal Special Soups for starters, husband asked it extra spicy. The soups came larden with black pepper. I managed few spoonfuls, husband gave up after first. It tasted like gravy, like English gravy (with pepper and chewy prawns). Waiter claimed it has red chilli only when the pepper was visible to see (all over). I said it is inedible and that we'd like to cancel our main courses (we were to go to another local, miles better). Waiter said it is too late, and we have to pay. I reminded him of his earlier comment 'you don't like, you don't pay' in which he replied he was joking. JOKING? Needless to say things got a bit heated and in the end he and I agreed I shall pay for the drinks and the starters (although I SHOULDN't have had to pay for the starters). Terrible, just terrible.More
Visited for a Sunday lunch with a group of friends. We had high expectations since the restaurant had branded itself as ”high-class Indian restaurant”. Food was very basic, not high-class. Portions were small compared to other local Indian restaurants. Decoration took us for a journey...to 80’s.More
Ate lunch here twice. My expectations were high since they state that they wanted to open a high quality restaurant. The interior is pretty groovy but after two visits, I still don't see high quality. The service is very average and so is the food....Had the mixed plate (not sure if that was the name but two dishes from the lunch menu). On both times the lamb has been better than the chicken. I'll give the a la carte menu a try some evening, but need to keep my expectation low that time. The price for lunch is not bad.More
