We ate here 2 January, the menu is limited. My husband and I chose from the wine bar menu, we both had beefburgers and a side portion of garlic potatoes. Both were hot and tasty. There is no childrens menu but they served the pasta from the main menu with a side of cheese. They charged €10 each for the child's portion which was the same price as adults portion. My husband and I had a glass of house wine each which was €17, it was an expensive meal for what we had (Total bill €74) Our server and the place itself were very nice

Old young couple celebrating their wedding day ❤️

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by going out to eat at Roka. It was an amazing experience! Each course (we took the Kitchen menu) was well balanced and the waitresses were very polite and professional. For each course we had, we got a wine recommendation as well. We enjoyed the desert (Rhubarb eton mess) quite a lot, but I still think there could have been some chocolate dessert in the menu. Otherwise a very positive and holistic experience 👍🏻

Good food and comfortable atmosphere

The restaurant is small and really and cozy. Food is very tasty the price is a little expensive (as ususal in Rovaniemi). The menu is not thinking for kids, who have to eat the same things of the adults and since is local food it does not match easily with kids taste

Tender Reindeer Roast and Delish Burger!

Had the reindeer roast (medium rare goodness) and the meat was really tender! Coupled with red wine sauce and some marvelous vegetables. Also ordered the beef burger alone medium doneness and it was really good as well. There is good bite to the patty which pairs well with the sautéed red onions and combine that with toasted buns and you have a great burger! Overall it was quite filling for two of us (Asian couple 😁).

We had a family new years eve meal here. Wasnt great. The food was tasty and different but the waiting staff were poor. The food arrived cold, we had a tasting menu and had to constantly ask for new cutlery. Very expensive

Upscale dining without going bankrupt

Gourmet dishes that will leave you wishing for more. Tried the chef menu + a dessert. Everything is perfectly portioned to have a full meal (starters, entree & dessert were shared) and not over eat. Great service & atmosphere! Wait staff is very patient and attentive. Complements to the chef for creating an amazing menu!

Welcoming from the moment you step through the doors, English menus and English speakers making it easy to order. The food was sensational, the service friendly and attentive. Indoor and out door seating available. Best meal in a month.

Nice place, over priced

We were a party of six, four adults and two adolescents for dinner. We had nice starters: tomato bruschetta and the mushroom soup. For main courses we had the cabbage which was strange (not bad) and the fish with crab sauce which was very good, but it was served with bad gnocchis. For dessert we had: Chocolate cake which was very good and a very nice cream brûlée

Smile like ravi and food like roka!

Thank you ravi for a fabulous experience! The moment I entered the wine bar was greeted by a smiling Ravi who made place for me at 5 pm . I had walked in famished from husky sleighing and was turned away from restaurant nili by an extremely curt large woman. Ravi ensured that he gave me a table and recommended the reindeer roast and the rainbow trout that felt devine. The Austrian reisling was spectacular! All in all a very lovely supper, thank you for the warmth Ravi!

Downhill from the starter!

The place was really cold, the waitress kindly moved us further into the restaurant up the stairs after our starters but it was just as cold. The starters were phenomenal, beautiful presented, fresh and tasty. The rest was a disappointment unfortunately, the reindeer roast was bland, (we both wanted the reindeer burger from the specials menu but we were told there wasn’t any however whilst waiting on our mains we saw 2 other tables receive them who ordered after us), the menu states all main dishes are served with bread, we had to request this as none arrived and we were told ‘I’ll get it if you want it’ - very disappointing! We both ordered French toast for pudding, it was fine, not warm enough and it was dry(it was more like a cinnamon swirl pastry), the rhubarb dressing was lovely though. Overall it was fine, wouldn’t visit again though.

Good, but good eater abstain

We had the beef cooked two ways, it was good but nothing more! If you are a good eater you will need more than a plate. We come out hungry... the dish is 34€! I still think that at this price we can have a fuller plate! Disappointed ! In addition, we are asked what we want to drink without offering us a menu...

Fantastic Lappish food - a must in Rovaniemi!

The experience at ROKA Kitchen & Winebar was fantastic. They offered a variety of local Lappish food combined with modern tastes. Also, the interior design provides a warm and chic atmosphere. Additionally, the service was very kind and explained the fantastic food they served (thanks Ravi and Alisaa!)

I visited Roka with my wife, to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. We had the Kitchen menu that had four different dishes for both, so we had a lot to taste, and we sure did enjoy all the amazing flavours. The service was top notch. We had a lovely, friendly waiter named Ravi, and we had lots of laughs together. Even the chef came to talk to us, and he was a lovely person, too. Everything left a positive mark on us, so we will definitely be returning here. Recommended most heartily!

Dinner with family and friends

We went to dinner, booked for 7.30pm since in Finland we eat early anyway, there being 10 of us we tried various dishes on the menu and they were all very good. The portions are not large but we still left full. To book you need to use the site and it is recommended to do so a few days before because at least after Christmas it was always full.

Asked for a reindeer sandwitch..got it with hairs

Went with some friends and asked for a reindeer sandwitch. I firts encountered a hair almost half way in and thought it was mine. Half way in the sanwitch found a second hair. The waitress was apologetic, but instead of giving a discount of 25% when i returned it..they shouldn't have charged me. I could have easily made a scene so they should have been more grateful i didnt. Most expensive and disgusting experience eating. Your cook should wear a hairnet.
