A very unique experience, with a first stop at ice bar and a drink to warm up and open your apetite. We really enjoyed our Christmas dinner at the ice restaurant on Christmas Day. The 3 course meal was lovely as it was very tasty and a generous portion size. The ice sculptures were amazing !!! We especially enjoyed the vodka in a cup made of...ice that was given before dinner. The BIG disappointment was the communal table set up. Had I known my husband and I would have to share our special (and very expensive) Christmas Day dinner with a table full of strangers I don’t think I would have booked this restaurant. The whole restaurant seem to have communal seating. This should be advertised on the website.More

I enjoyed my lunch at the Snowman World Ice Restaurant located on the Arctic Circle inside the Santa Claus Village. Food was simple and nothing special... salmon soup, house bread, dessert and choice of coffee or tea. It was pricey at EUR44, but you pay...for the fancy ambiance, the nice meal presentation and the unique experience. The ice sculptures on the walls are truly amazing and marvelously done. And the chandeliers added elegance to the atmosphere. Advance reservations was not necessary but I did to make sure. Many people entered the restaurant, looked around and took photos of the amazing interior. Very few stayed and ordered meal. Initially booked the lunch from online but only realized that there was a conflict in my itinerary a few days before the lunch and had to reschedule it. The staff were really helpful and really went out of their way to reschedule the lunch in...accordance to my challenging itinerary. Really appreciate it. Remember to put enough clothes. The drink they serve first makes good for the blood circulation. Beautiful sculptures and nice cosy dinner area. For starters I ate mushroom soup wich was delicious. And it was hot. Main course i had reindeer and for dessert icecream...and blueberry pie. Delicious. The portions were big enough but for a hungry big man, it is not maybe enough. We had dinner in this restaurant. The staff was very polite and welcomed us with a Laplandia vodka glass. The food was very good, I enjoyed the reindeer steak. The place is very beautiful with ice scupltures.

We called into the Ice Restaurant for lunch one day. It's an absolute novelty and we really enjoyed it. The service was great and the food was really delicious. It's definitely worth doing if you are at the Snowman World.

Not cheap, nothing special, novelty of eating in an ice restaurant soon wears off. Better value and quality in Glass Resort and Nova eateries.

We made this part of our visit to Santa Village and it was a great way to end the trip. There is a fixed menu with 3 choices (kids, salmon or reindeer) and each was delicious. Access to Santa Village is free and the Ice...Restaurant is paid in advance but includes access to Snowman World as part of the ticket (we didn't realise this until we asked and were ushered in by the friendly staff). Once inside there are many ice sculptures and numerous activities for the kids (ice skating, tube sliding over ice etc). Access to Snowman World is on a per day basis so we were free to come and go as we liked. Our meal was around 6pm and we were entitled to a free drink at the Ice Bar which allowed us to sample some of the lovely Finnish vodkas as served by our friendly barman. The meal was excellent and it was only towards the end that we started to feel the chill a little. We even had a taxi take us home from right outside the building so no trudging through the snow outside. All in all, a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.More

The idea is excellent but the experience is overpriced. We paid 250 euros and never ate our food. The salmon I had was boiled and then grilled without taste. The kids menu was full with butter and the wine watery. The staff is excellent. I...only had the dessert, blueberry pie which was tasty. But they should improve the quality of food.More

This is a very cold dining experience. The Staff were excellent. They offered hot chocolate to the kids, blankets, etc. anything to keep them and us warm. The food was really good. My wife and I split the steak and seafood meals to sample. The...kind crab soup was excellent, and my steak was great. Very cold, but well worth it! And best option in the area for sure. Well worth the trip if you are staying in town too.More

the place is well built i would recommend to visit the restraunt after u had the experience of the museum hit the bar with some warm drinks and can try dinner there they provide you with blankets a full 3 course meal
