This is by far the most touristy thing we did. The salmon glazed was amazing and everything else in the buffet was nice but not as great as the salmon. Decent wine list.

You want an authentic taste of Lapland, this is the place to go. These people love what they do and they do a great job. We were the only English speaking people in the room and they went above and beyond to make sure we were up to speed on things. Food was very good. I have had a lot... More

We visited with a group of a dozen colleagues. The place was as ever, behind K5 hotel and part underground (Kammi is type of Kota, a traditional building part underground). The place was rather full (few other big groups as far as I could tell) but everything went smooth enough. Food traditional, very tasty, gamey and part of it made... More

We ate here after our ice chapel wedding. We wanted a traditional Lappish meal. It's an underground restaurant in the grounds of the K5 Hotel. They come in costume beating drums and chanting/singing and walk you over. The only issue was being English we couldn't understand a word! It didn't spoil the atmosphere at all. Main courses were from a... More

As a sámi I have too many times seen sámi culture being used for commercial purposes without heart and feel. Thus I always arrive with a solid dose of scepticism when visiting places labeling themselves as traditional sámi experiences. But after the first greeting by the staff and Niiles-Jouni, there was a strong feeling of genuity that allowed my shoulders... More

I´ve always loved going to Saamen Kammi for the experience as well, it is kind of a special treat. It is really expensive though and was surprised that they only spoke in Finnish in the beginning to explain all about the food and what they serve. The lady spoke so fast as well that you couldn´t understand. Starter soup does... More

This restaurant was a buffet style but it was an enjoyable way to try traditional dishes. The staff were delightful and warm.
