I’ve been here twice before and then food has been excellent. Because of my experiences I was comfy to recommend this for our group to go to. This time food was way off. Fish portions seemed that those were not so fresh as expected and...salt were missing completely. Steak was okay, but not anywhere near as it has been earlier. Unfortunately if this is current level of the place it has lost it touch to good food. If you’re looking to drink, then it might be an option but for the food experience this latest was not giving any great promises (anymore).More

Great staff who are very friendly. Great selection of drinks. The food took a while to come out and it was a little disappointing. Burgers presented well were dripping in oil and melted cheese when picked up. The BBQ plate was also laden in oil,...which it shouldn’t if it is actually bbq’d and is way overpriced for a sausage, piece of bacon and deep fried chicken. Probably wouldn’t go back.More

You can eat and drink there. The location is right in the center, near the mall. But there was no service. They didn't know what kind of coffee they had and no one came to clean our table

This place was recommended thanks to the quality, good service and delicious food. However, it did not meet the requirements First an elderly waitress made us, customers go around to our table instead of stepping aside one step. And no, she did not have any...dishes in her hands. The waitresses told us it would take a bit longer than normally, but never mentioned what that meant. So we waited almost 2 hours. The Coke my hubby ordered did not have any bubbles and it could not be improved. In the kitchen, one of the waitresses was grilling steaks, without any hairnet in her long hair, even though I have understood that to be a requirement in Finnish restaurants. And what did the waitress did there in the first place? :/ Garlic bread sticks we ordered as an entre needed a bit of salt, but since there weren't any in the table, we could not even help ourselves. It also seemed that neither the kitchen nor the waitresses could keep up with the orders, which caused loud discussions by the kitchen front. Also the average time meals stayed under heath lamp was 5 minutes (and yes, after one hour of waiting this was one way to entertain ourselves), which I consider quite long time in a place that profiles itself with quality. Food looked quite ordinary, but tasted ok. A big plus for using local ingredients A burger, a chicken with cheese, breadsticks, one Coke and one cider from the tub cost in total 63 euros We did not order any desert, because we were afraid, we would be retired before we got it.More

Sundays are family days. When You are travelling alone, You really need to know where to go and enjoy the meal and atmosphere, and feel yourself having your local family. Gastropub Eino is a marvellous place to feel yourself home and part of the family....I started with the muikkukukkoannos, based on dark bread baked by the Chef with the topping of smoked vendace (Coregonus albula). This starter just took my tongue totally! Excellent taste, thank You. As the main course I chose the vegetarian plate, and I really can recommend it. How good and how healthy. Good wine selection for the food. Maybe this could be developed a bit with new tastes. I warmly recommend this restaurang in St.Michel.More

Just finished having lunch at Eino. Had the skagen and "muikkukukko" as starters (definately appetizer size) and chicken and goat cheese salads as mains. Food was beautifully presented and tasty but quite expensive. Paying over 20 euro for a salad in downtown Mikkeli seems a...bit extreme. very attentive service and a nice outdoor terrace.More

Our group of two grandparents, two parents, three 3 to 7 years old kids and one baby got friendly service and food that was really good. The vendace board was delicious, the blinis excellent (except that the roe was from trout, I'd prefer from vendace...or whitefish), and also those who chose the vegetable rolls and grill board were happy. The 'little burgesr' for the kids were actually big and the steaks nicely done medium. The chocolate cake melted in the mouth.More

We went here for the lunch special. Four adults all had salmon with spinach cream sauce and mashed potatoes for €12. It was lovely. Great location right on the market square. Food was fresh and home made.

I had a brief visit in Gastropub Eino with my two friends. They had little snacks and I had salmon soup. The soup tasted great but we had to wait food about an hour. The service was not so good this time. We were served...by a waiter who spoke very unclearly and we hardly understood what he said. His presence got us mostly bothered. There is Housing Fair this year, event once in a lifetime in Mikkeli, so I would have expected that the restaurant would have given us the best experience.More
