A very atmospheric small cafe with antique pottery and furnishings and decorations. The selection of foods and pastries isn't very large and prices are slightly higher than in some bigger cafes, but this cute cafe is absolutely worth visiting. Everything, as far as I know, is self-made in the cafe, both sweet and savory foods.

A very cozy little place for a cup of coffee or tea, solo or with friends. The place is decorated with everyday household antique items. They serve soup lunch on weekends. Gluten free cake options available.
Not recommended for claustrophobic people.

It's been many years that I come to Kuopio for Christmas holidays and new year's event and each time I find myself chilling in this very cozy place. I gave them "excellent" because of their coziness and Salads :)

My friends and I visited this place on a chilly and foggy November day. Once we entered, we immediately decided to stay there and look no further - the atmosphere is just so homey and warm, as if you visited some old crafty lady's secret hideaway. The prices are on a more expensive side for a city outside the capital region, but the pies with wild mushrooms and smoked salmon were delicious! And surprisingly, they were served with a bit of salad on the side. Coffee was tasty as well :) So, I can certainly recommend visiting this place to experience the atmosphere and to try one of their delicious pies!

I think this is my favourite cafeteria in whole of Finland! A little bit pricey, but I will go there every time I go to Kuopio to have a cake and enjoy the feeling of the place!

Have been going here for several years and they just keep up doing well!
Delicious sweet bakery and also i large 'Todays salad' will fill up for full day.
Very central location in the corner to Market Square, easy to dropp in. Smallish cafe but vey cosy with old furniture and nice decorations. Not much place for handicapped customers, more seats available on the second floor. Look for a small box if someone has left you a note!

Loved their decoration and ofcourse tea..Where you are there you feel that you are living in different world. Small shop yet lots of things to dicover inside. Just take your time to relax and enjoy .

Excellent latte and cortado. Great apple pie. I loved the somewhat crowded feeling with all the "antique" decor. The atmosphere was a bit rushed - seems to be popular.

This is The place to meet your friend or just pop in to have a cup of coffee or tea in the heart of Kuopio city. Kahvila Kaneli has an atmosphere which is wrapping you to warm and cozy, timeless being. Old furniture and a bit dimmed lights help in this. Good service and pasties.

Ooh, the cakes, pies and different flavours of coffee are just overwhelming and my choice, the pecan chocolate pie was spot on with a nice cup of cappuccino. Although there were a lot of people, we got seated instantly and our orders came fairly quickly.
The atmosphere is quite unique and you can just sit and let your eyes wander the pictures and different things they have put on show.
