I decided to start a quest of finding The Best steak place from Kuopio. Decided to start from Grillson, because it states that it is a steakhouse. Odered a entrecôte, medium rare. It was cold upon arrival, so I sent it back. I got a...new and hot one quite quickly with apologies of the hot table issue. Steak was better than good, not great or excellent though. But it set a good basis for comparison. Lots of herb butter. A little bit smoky taste, an Itsy bitsy overdone for medium rare, but after all a good piece of meat. I enjoyed it. Wine was excellent. I recommend their Rioja. Service was Very good and friendly. Peaceful and relaxing place and very good location right at the middle of the city. A good steakhouse overall. 3,5 stars.More
This restaurant is belonging to Scandic Atlas Hotel. It is located next to the long hallway. The ambiance is a little bit dark. There are not many windows to outside. The decor is quite stylish. I am not a huge fan of grilled food. My...chicken had black stripes which gave a burned taste. However, my partner liked his salmon. The drinks were perfect. Scandic has changed its wine list. My husband and I recently had dinner at this restaurant. The servers were very welcoming and friendly and the ambiance was nice. I had a salad and starter, and my husband had pasta and everything was very good.
Enjoyd the club sandwich a lot, was the best for a while. Not dry, crispy bacon, excellent fries, tasty aioli and guacamole.
A rather strange restaurant, as one end of it is effectively a hotel reception (so next to our table we had people coming and going to their rooms). Steak was OK, nothing wrong with it but equally nothing special if you are used to steak...restaurants in other countries. Service quick and attentive. I think after 20 years of coming to Finland I just have to accept Finland doesn't do steak well.More
I'm a guest at the scandic hotel where the Grillson is located so naturally ate here first and the food is excellent, lunch burger was close to the best I've had, dinner a la carte starters and mains were impossible to fault as well. Flavours,...ingredients, quality were all superb. There seems to be a high standard of restaurants and great selection in Kuopio, I'm normally adventurous and like variety but I'd be happy to eat every meal here during my stay!More
Our second time here. Altought I'm praising the summer menu, the regular a la carte menu is fantastic aswell. Fresh ingredients, in a way really basic dishes but I say this as a positive thing because this way you get those flavours you asked for...instead of mishmash of things. We had ribs, burger and steak. Everything was tasty and layouted beautifully.More
Ate here after a long day travelling but wasn’t disappointed. All four of us enjoyed a very good meal and the burger was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and look forward to dining here again when I return!
Late dinner after hard working day. For frequent business traveller the price list is little bit more than average. Club memebership menu will compensate total costs back to average. Good wide wine and beer lists to choose. My choice was pork cheek with smashed potatoes...and vegetables. Excellent and delicious choice with dark beer and water. Service is litlle lazy tempo and slow, but also friendly and polite. Its good if your not in hurry when visiting there. Enviroment is very cosy. Take your time enjoy relax and be happy. Stuff speaks fluent english, your finnish might be great bonus.More
The only good thing is that it’s cheap Lunch really not tasty, and no choices, maybe 2 things on the menu. Yuck , don’t go here
I order the burguer but was not as I hoped. The meat was very well done instead of medium, the sauce inside really does not delight much. The beer came without the typical foam you expect in a beer. Hopefully the Creme Brulee trio was...ok. Total price ... too muchMore
Lunch there. Food was good.We got a table nearby the playing ground, which was fantastic to have a 2year old child to eat with.
Grillsson Steakhouse & Bar Kuopio - ravintola is a good place to eat and drink and have even meetings...
We had just come last week to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. We had a great time together thanks to friendly waiters and excellent foods. We will come back soon. .
