Anniversary dinner for 2

Anniversary dinner - preordered - too much potatoes and too little meet. Friendly service except the waitress who did not manage to open the wine bottle. She manage to break the cork on 2 and she touched the winebottle with her hands and her fingers were inside the bottle

Walked by and wanted to have lunch, has never visited the Viikinki ravintola Harald but have given it a thought several times. Has in a hurry to catch the train and asked if they could make it quick. Fast service and very good food I can defenetly recommend and will visit it again if I gave a chance.

The Viking restaurant Harald in Kuopio

I always try to go to a Viking restaurant Harald, if there one in the town I visit. I have so far visited one in Lahti, Turku, Oulu and now in Kuopio. I like their style of restaurants. This time I had a lamb dish, which was rather delicious. Friendly staff and cozy interior.

Would love to come back

Dear Vikings Team, when I spotted this restaurant today afternoon I was sooo excited, as I love the vikings history, lifestyle, series, etc. I already knew what I would like to order & was so amazed, when we walked in there. Unfortunately, my dog (pomeranian) was not welcome, so we had to leave to another restaurant :-( I was so disappointed, as the menu & everything looked so fab..! As I respect your house rules, I rate you with 5 stars, although I wasn‘t there, but would like to give you a feedback, on what I‘ve experienced.. All the best & would love to come back with my sweet & calm dog (see picture) :-) Heippa.!

Friedly people. The waitress told me all the ingredients. Fresh salad. Good fish and cabbage rolls. I am very critical of how the fish is made. This was excellent.

Try the starter bread & dips

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant during our recent stay in Kuopio. As we wanted a light lunch, we just ordered salads and starters. Everything was good but the dips that came with the "starter bread" were excellent and one, in particular, was outstanding.

The best lunch in town.

Scandinavian / Finnish style food with some surprising twists (USA / Russia) every now and then. I've been quite a frequent visitor since 2012, a couple times a week for years now. Food and service was good even before, but later years even topped the quality time and time again. Lunch includes main course, salad buffet and the soup of the day. Salad buffet can be usually compared to a la carte quality. With the usual vegetables always available you are most likely to find some more filling articles such as cold fish and root vegetable starter foods, potatoe salads, sauces etc. Soups are varying from smooth vegetable soups to more rustique meat and fish soups. Sometimes there's some game - boar, elk or deer - in the foods. At the lunchtime! There's two cheaper main courses available, and a bit pricier one if you really want to treat yourself. Main courses are brought to the table always on time and with a smile. Portions are well-sized even for a bigger guy. If you still have your sweet-tooth aching after all the main course goodness, you can treat yourself with some cookies with coffee or tea. Thursdays it's pancake time. A la carte has some real scandinavian adventures for your taste-buds. Inventive dishes with not so usual flavours have been top notch every time we've had them. I recommend the most full menü if you are to have one. You don't want to miss any of these delicious and interesting treats and foods. I could not recommend this more heartily. Scandinavian quality food with reasonable prices right at the center of my beloved home town.

Disappointing lunch

We ate lunch in Harald and it wasn’t that good at all. I had veggie lunch with peasoup. There wasnt much variation for vegetables from buffet table and taste was very plain. Peasoup was ok but canned peasoup is much better. We didn’t touch dessert - coffee, tea and old stiff-looking pancakes. Viking theme is interesting and service is polite, but overall not place worth going twice.

Fantastic Food

Ate here with a couple of colleagues on a recent business trip. Food and beer was excellent and highly recommended, as well as great service. Would definitely visit again when back in town!

We have been visiting Harald few times earlier. Earlier our experiences have been dissapointing. So there were over two years since last visit. Now our visit was great. Food was really good abd tasty. Also enviroment was pleasant. Good place to have meal

All about the theme

This restaurant chain has a clear theme and I think it has been executed prettt well. Who wouldn't want to try a viking helmet? The menu has plenty of options and I was happy with my choise of "salad". For fun you should try it at least once.

3 very old/cool beers brewed only here Reindeer soup, lots of fish dishes, wait staff wearing authentic clothes Fun vibes! Prices seemed a bit expensive though But for tourists, yes I would eat there...
