This restaurant cafe has a great location in Market Square. There is a nice summer terrace. After sightseeing, it was enjoyable to have beers on the terrace. There is self-service. You have order and pay inside. The service there could have been more friendly.

This place is in the middle of the Kuopio market place. It offers a variety of savory snacks and cakes, as well fresh wok option which is nice for lunch. Also huge selection of coffees and teas are served. Enjoyed it a lot although I...had the feeling there being only one lady behind the counter on a busy day was a bit too little, nevertheless she was able to fulfill everyone's needs with a smile.More

Coffee is good, not sure it is cosy as advertised though. Great on an early spring day when you could sit outside and enjoy the sun and people watching. More fashionable than cosy as I expected.

This place is located in an anciliery building to Kauppahalli. It serves as one of the entrances to Kauppahalli and Apaja. Which makes the atmosphere just ok - as many people just walk through. Breakfast range was a bit limited - good range of savory...breads and sweet cakes as well as porridge. No fruits, quarks or freshly squeezed juices. Good range of coffees and teas. We did not try the lunch wok.More

they have quite a wide selection of coffee, tea, and cakes than other cafe, but unfortunately the cakes were quite expensive for me as mere student.

Salacavala has a great location in the middle of Kuopio marketplace. We had lunch - they have a wok option where you can choose the green stuff to join with thei main items (meat and sauce). Clever! Although the place was quite full during the...lunch hour we got our portions in decent time. Capasity of the kitchen is quite limited - so if You are in a hurry be warned. The café / restaurant is really a large selection of sweet and savory delicacies , all self -baked and fresh . There is also a lunch , including wine , a wide range of coffee . Lookout Square is a wonderful both in summer and...winter. There is also a large terrace.More

Very nice place to have lunch / coffee in the very heart of Kuopio. During summertime the place gets even better when it is possible to stay outside. Prices are not so cheap, but it is normal in Finland.

Kuopios market square was re-done recently and this glass buildning was built on the old fish markets place next to the Market Hall. It is maybe the trendiest cafe /restaurant in town; all wall are windows opening to the Market square ( or sellers cars),...trendy furniture ( also for sale?), best wok in town, delicious selection of pastries and coffees. Good place also for a glass of sekt!More

This restaurant has great views to market place. There were lot of sandwiches, pastry, coffees and teas. I selected their wok for a lunch . Service was little bit short. The wok was not anything special : I would not choose it again. But the...location is great that would come here again at least for a coffee.More
