Amazing restaurant in the middle of nowhere😉. Top experience, we ordered three different main dishes, all served to perfection, with creativity and wonderful tastes. Wine matching was also impressive and perfect to the food. Desserts beautiful creations and taste explosions. Owners of the restaurant made...the experience extra. One can eat good food in many places, but there is no such place in Kuopio which has this level of service. We have dined here as a couple and also with a 8 month old. They made a perfect romantic feeling and also were...the most accomodating for a baby! They were friendly and just lovely. I will never recommend anything but this in Kuopio.More

This place is a jewel in Kuopio! Ok, the title might be too much (about Michelin), but there's logic in it and it's not far from true. Restaurant Kuzina has nothing to envy from Michelin star restaurants in Helsinki, and because of my profession and...business trips, I've been to many. If that restaurant would be bigger, it would surely be considered a Michelin star level restaurant. Where should I start. The sommelier first of all. It is by far the best wine matching we had in our life. He's surely the most knowledgeable person I know, when we talk about wines! I mean, seriously, not only be can match and suggest perfectly with every food or even appetizer, but explain why, from where is every wine and every step of the producing. We really enjoyed with my partners listening him. The food, not only is great, but I haven't really seen in Kuopio this that level of fine dining. It is even hard to decide describe it. Service is as mentioned, great. And from Sommelier and the rest of be the staff, that we had the luck to meet, as I wanted to congratulate the chef. One big bonus? The kitchen has an opened window, so we can see the whole procedure. One other professional thing that we usually see on Michelin star restaurants. All the dishes and appetizers are hand made, pretty appreciated. I think also almost everything there is organic, fun the food to the coffee and wines. The only negative feedback I would give, is that this restaurant is only by reservation. But on the other hand, is this really something to consider as "negative"? Most of the restaurants of that level (and in Kuopio we have some really good, but none on that level), work on the same way. Seafood grilled in Kamado and served with homemade pasta or risotto. Everything tastes perfect and service was excellent. Wide variety of wines available with expert recommendations.

First visit to this restaurant, but certainly not the last one. The service was very friendly and genuinely enthusiastic. The owners were clearly enthusiastic about serving customers. The food was first class, the main dishes (flamed seafood & vegetarian risotto) were full of flavors. The...appetizer assortment was good, but may not have reached the level of the main dishes. The dessert ice cream (lingonberry-rosemary) was good. Recommended wines work well with food. What I missed: bread that could have scraped the last drops from a brilliant risotto to the mouth (when you don’t dare lick the plate) and second to the dessert may have a little more crunchy element. But these were little things in a great dinner service. I warmly recommend!More
