Recommended by our hotel and we really liked it. Things shut down early all over Finland and this restaurant was open to 10 pm. Food was very good, reasonably priced and service was great. Highly recommend.

We came here as business trip. I ate pork and mac and cheese. It was spicy but very good. Totally would recommend this place.

I had a burger which was tasty. Serving was Ok, even though that drink recommendations were little limited. 23€ for burger is too much, so i would not order it again.

Interesting and very competently put together menu, gourmet food and only a few places locally where this is possible. We had the main menu and pics provided, main course was exceptional with a great combination of flavours in the steak with apple and oxtail sauce...and the artichoke dessert was interesting, wouldn’t have expected it to work, but it was very tasty. Only disappointment was the crab tartar - this was a cooked shrimp salad, so it was neither crab or tartar (even allowing for Finnish katkarapu (prawn) and rapu (crab)) this was misleading, even if not unpleasant (I would have chosen duck if the choice was prawn cocktail). We had a few cocktails too, happy hour is good value, but worth asking what the drinks are are the descriptions are artistically named and not helpful.More

Its a very nice and pleasant restaurant. Service is attentive and discreet, with a good timing when to serve the next course. Food is extraordinary with an excellent price-performance-relationship. Its a japanese-finnish crossover style somehow. The celery variation tasted fantastic, a big WOW. We had...a great evening there, so thanks again to the whole team at Local Bistro.More

Food = 4,5 / 5 Nice athmos. Good local and seasonal list. Nice menus. Textures, platings and flavours were pretty close to 5/5, setback was the service. Friendly staff but WAY too slow. Fairly simple orders but it took 3 hours until we were done....Not good at all. Pls fix this and You have jewel in Your hands.More

We had high hopes for this place, as it had good reviews everywhere. Thankfully they also delivered with nice, personally dry cured meats as appetizer, perfectly seared beef and crispy skinned trout as main dishes. I would definitely visit again if ever in Joensuu again.

Basic Finnish lunch. Fast service for lunch because of the lunch buffet. The salad bar could have been better. The lunch menu can be found on the internet. Located near the market square.

Definitely the best restaurant in Joensuu. Good location on the market square and a cozy little restaurant with terrace. The portions were visually beautiful and the food was good, so a good harmonious dinner with the wines. Nice and helpful staff.
