I wouldn't mind a bit more vegan options. I had an avocado sandwich which did taste well, but at the time I ordered I was cold as.. I was very cold (lol) . The place was a bit crowded but I really didn't mind that at all. We were both pretty tired and it was just amazing to sit back... More

Good music, local art, great balanced latte. Try the chili bowl, brunch and the vegan peanutbutter squares ;)

I spent a couple of hours with my computer. Helpful friendly staff, made coffee exactly to my taste. Good range of healthy sandwiches and salads including vegan options. Well worth a visit.

The coffee was very strong even my swedish friend said so..... Most importantly i felt insulted to go to the toilet and have Saint Mary painted on the wall looking at a bag of money. Very disrespectful and rude I don't insult anyone who is aethist or any religion neither should you. Putting something religious in a bathroom is just... More

Hipsters - yes! It's almost getting ridicolous these days, but if you over look that the coffee and service is great. I've had more caffein than I care to remember here and it's a place I always suggest when meeting up with someone on the South side, The decore is laid back, minimalistic shabby chic ;-) what more can be... A great little stop for a small meal or cup of coffee. Loved sitting on the sidewalk watching the world go by! Great place to open the laptop and relax for a few moments. Opens at 8am.

Relaxed atmosphere with cool and trendy people hanging around. A lot of vegetarian salads, sandwiches and quesadillas. If you are lucky, you might catch the dj playing soft music during weekends.

I have a problem to rate this place. Because i like this place much, but at to be honest, their filtercoffee is just terrible. You get better from 7-eleven. I dont wonder why it's called voodoo kaffe. Two times i've been here. Both times i've enjoyed the general atmosphere in this personally decorated cafe, also liked their taste of music.... More

Inspired by the Trashmens song this is not only a rock'n'roll place. Actually it's more of a cool café selling records and playing a mix of what's trendy in Södermalm - rock, punk, reggae, ska, soul etc - natural sounds :-) But the interior is really nice and the staff is really nice too! Worth a visit - in a... More

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
