We had an 8 hour layover in Sweden and decided to explore the city for a bit. We were looking for some sort of Swedish cuisine, and stumbled upon this place. this was the best meal I had in Europe, and it was just a layover (we went to Paris, all over Ireland, and the Amalfi Coast in Italy). The... More

Apart from 'the crabs'; soft shelled fried crabs with a tiny amount of meat, the food was good. Try the signature dish of ox cheek with an amazing sauce. a buzzing spot, not cheap but generally good.

Discovered Rolf's in 2004. It's been my favorite restaurant in Stockholm ever since. Contemporary Swedish cuisine, with an atmosphere that's always buzzing. Great service, welcoming, fantastic food! I recommend the on cheeks and save room for dessert.

Excellent reputation and on my visit this is well deserved. Very busy even mid-week means you must book ahead. Waiting staff knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Great restaurant and worth a visit if you are in Stockholm. Pricey but not overly for Stockholm.

This place has a hipster vibe if you'er into that. If not they got excellent food and a nice selection of wine to wash it all down with. Much recommended. Had to eat there twice on my 5 day stay.

In short: Our best dinner experience in Stockholm, by far! Highly recommended! We had ox cheeks and pork sausage, and they both tasted amazing. The truffle potato-mash was great.

I highly recommend Rolfs Kök! An amazing restaurant. The food was fantastic, and not too bad price wise (for Stockholm). You can get mains at around 250sek, (£25 roughly). Of course there are more expensive. Wine is on the pricey side but very good, best price bottle 395sek. The staff are very friendly. We were late and even though I... More

We walked passed the restaurant the day before and judged it to be a bistro type establishment. Once one sits down though and opens the menu you realise you're not in an everyday place. The food is prepared with great care and the combination of flavours works to hugely good effect. This is a busy restaurant but the service manages... More

I had a business lunch here today. This restaurant was so busy, and you have to book before, even for the lunch. And this 2 course lunch was so good, you can have two choice with the main dishes. The service was nice as well.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
