On a side street this is a small cafe which produces wonderful salads. Also local beer. Just a great place for lunch. Worth a detour

Really good restaurant for lunch. A selection of salads and sandwiches. Friendly staff that recommended the best salad I've had in a long time. Worth a visit!

The toasted sandwich I ordered with pulled pork was really magic. Filled with lovely flavours, very fresh and so delicious. You could easily feel that it was prepared in a lovely manner. The size of the portion was generous and I didn't get hungry for many hours to come either. The whole place was cosy, very clean and of course... More

This small Cafe placed 50 meters up the street from the subway is worth visiting. I really recommend their salads - not cheap, but fresh and which won't leave you hungry. Very good coffee served by friendly personnel in a nice environment is a pure pleasure for body and soul. "En halv trappa ner" is environment conscious and is careful... More

The places is very small though so do not always expect to find a seat.. but it's also one of its' charms. Aim to visit this at off-lunch... More

We came across this place accidentally, as our rented flat nearby. It was full of locals. We had some delicious toasted big sandwiches with salad and some well made coffee. The service was attentive.

Amazing coffee and food, and a great atmosphere. Stopped by for breakfast with friends. Specially roasted coffee, home made honey on Turkish yogurt, with walnuts and bananas - divine!!!

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
