Came across this cosy restaurant whilst exploring the old part of town. Very good Swedish food served by lovely girls. I had the meatballs and they lived up to everything I had wished for. Husband had the fish soup and it was great too. Good...More

Not so easy to find a free table, but we were lucky enough to be there at the right time for dinner! Cozy, nice little place. Authentic restaurant, with really good local foods. We had Kötbullar and reindeer&venisson meatball. The food was delicious, service was...More

A good selection of traditional Swedish dishes. Friendly staff and good portions. Very reasonable prices for the tourist town that is Gamla Stan. Recommended. TOP TIP Tends to book out due to high Tripadvisor scores but you can sometimes get a ‘walk in’ if you...More

This is a simple, charming restaurant serving excellent, authentic, Swedish food in the old town. We enjoyed the herring and the meatballs washed down with the house red. Service too was straightforward and friendly. What’s not to like.

I really loved the fair here. We didn't order much seafood since we had eaten plenty earlier at the food hall, but we couldn't turn down the fish soup or the salted herring, for obvious reasons! Almost everybody was sick at this point except for...More

We were looking for a restaurant after visiting the Nobel Museum and just from looking through the window it looked like there were lots of locals there. We ordered the Reindeer and Venison Wallenbergare with mashed potatoes, peas and lingonberries: It is like a big...More

Reindeer & Venison Wallenbergare with lingonberries. My goodness. Wallenbergare does not translate however imagine a thick lean presentation of meatloaf. A Swedish Classic done & presented to perfection. Couple with mashed potatoes and peas this is stunning coupled with a superb variety of dishes. They...More

Small place, lovely food, amazing fish soup and meatballs. The prices are ok compared to the rest of Stockholm, but the quality of the food is really high, it's not fine dining, the portions are well thought and the taste is impeccable, you are full...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
