Tasty food and generous portions (I had a schnitzel, a herring appetiser and a side). A group next to us who arrived before us left before being served as it took too long. Ours took forever too, even for the waiter to come by and...More

The restaurant is atmospheric with traditional wooden decor, and apparently changed management about a year ago. I had feared it might be a tourist trap, but a local friend recommended it. The staff are bilingual and were very helpful in explaining or recommending items on...More

First time here after the big renovation and it is now even better. They undertook a really sympathetic renovation of this very atmospheric Swedish/German beer hall and restaurant. I first came here almost 30 years ago and hope to return for 30 more! Very friendly...More

We enjoyed a few drinks here on a warm afternoon and found the staff knowledgable and friendly, plus the locals at the bar welcoming of an English couple asking for beer recommendations. Excellent beer selection and a lovely old building. Recommended.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

One of Swedens oldest restaurants and beer halls focusing on Swedish and German food and craft beer. New management since July 2017 and in January 2018 it has been renovated and restored.
