My husband and I stayed at Camp Ripan the evening before we started a 3 day dog sledding trip. A van met us at the airport and the restaurant stayed open for late arrivals such as ourselves and a few other people. The food is locally sourced and delicious! There were a few options for vegetarians but the specialties were... More

We had good reindeer and moose meat, local raspberry ice wine (very pricey, but now we've tried that), and the local dessert (ice cream with cloudberry jam, and coffee with cheese - which is ... different).

Nice restaurant inside the hotel with fixed menu. They have fish and meat in the menu. The atmosphere is nice and the staff kind.

We visited here after reading the great reviews. The food was really nice but I preferred the reindeer we had in Landstroms the night before, although our vegan party member preferred the food here. There were 5 in our group and the total bill was over £100 more expensive than Landstroms.

We came here after spending some time in the Aurora Spa and managed to get a table at the 5.30pm "ala carte" slot since we didn't make any reservations. The food quality is very good and they pride themselves to serve quintessentially Swedish ingredients and food. Camp Ripan Kitchen is an award winning restaurant so you will not go wrong... More

Breakfast is a la carte, offering bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, milk, cheeses, breads, cereal, apple & orange juice. A pretty good selection that is managed well (what should be cold is cold, what should be hot is hot & items are replenished as needed). We were out too much during the day to try their lunch offerings. The restaurant... More

Busy restaurant so need to book in good time. Got in at 8:30, staff helpful, informative and friendly. Ordered moose and Artic Char. Complimentary bread basket with soft butter was great. Moose came in small pieces in a cream sauce served with potato cake and berries, beautiful. 3 fillets of Artic Char cooked to perfection on bed of potato also... More

Very limited menu (seems like the norm for Swedish restaurants though) - as in 6 entrees. However, they did have a kids menu which was nice and reasonable. Prices were comparable to similar type restaurants in Stockholm which (albeit is still high compared to US) seemed nice since it is a hotel out in the middle of what looks like... More

We stayed here with the family and decided to eat in the restaurant because there isn't really anywhere near by. The food I have to say is really quite good. The service is very pleasant, but wow were they slow. Every step of the process took forever. Twenty minutes to get the menus. Twenty minutes for them to take our... More

Welcome to Restaurant Camp Ripan... ...and welcome to the exciting city of Kiruna, where the Swedish, Sami and Torne Valley Finnish cultures meet. Most of our produce comes from our three cultural regions, something we would like to tell you more about. Every dish has its own history. We know where the reindeer wandered and the fish were caught. Our kitchen follows the seasons - all eight of them. Completely according to the ageold Sami traditions. Our dishes are prepared with care, following traditional recipes and spiced with new twists and influences from around the world Restaurang Ripan strives to always choose the most eco-friendly and ethical alternative.
