Having been recommended by a friend, I arrived into an old fashion looking pub. It was quiet and I was greeted warmly and an air of jovialty too. Though the place did not serve food, the landlord recommended where we could get some from and by the time we returned, he had put a place setting down for us! We... More

If you want a great beer in Copenhagen, give Carlsberg a wide berth and head straight for Vinstue 90. The beer is poured slow, real slow, but aficionados know one thing for sure: good things come to those who wait. A mix of time-honoured interior decor and hospitable bartenders in the know, this is the kind of don't-make-'em-like-they-used-to bar that... More

From the moment you walk in you can feel this is a local pub, but unlike a lot of the local pubs in the the UK & Ireland you don't feel stared at and uncomfortable. Quite the opposite actually! The owner/ bartender could not have been more genuine, warm and friendly. We felt like we were being welcomed into the... More

For the slow beer ethos alone it is worth the walk out to find this place. And it helps that the beer tastes good too. Keep it up!

A classic Copenhagen bar that turns 100 years old next year, Vinstue 90 features splendid old school decor, a wonderful Slow Beer that takes 15 minutes to pour (order a drink while you wait for your drink) and a lovingly gruff service. It's a popular late night destination and you'll totally get the feel of Copenhagen at this place.

Vinstue 90 is one of the places in Frederiksberg that stood out for many years before beer became hype again. It was the place where you had the possibility to have a genuine slow beer - and it still is. It is a cosy place where you still can find the ambiance of the pre-cafe days. On summer days you... This is a great place to have a beer in Copenhagen. They offer a lot of different and great beers. The service from the staff are good. And the room is cosy with a relaxed atmosphere.

This is one of the most famous places in the area. It is famous for one thing and that is its slow beers. When you order a beer you always order two; one slow served beer and one beer in a bottle to drink while you wait for the slow one with its magnificent foam. The interior dates back from... More

If you enjoy your beers, then you must visit here. Its an experience quite unlike anything I've had before, I want to say it feels like you are drinking a Carlsberg/Guineas concoction, but that's just me. The waiter was very informative and helpful. Walking in we were subject to lots of stares for the first few moments, but after this... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
