We brought 2 young children and the staff were very accommodating. The scrambled eggs were excellent, bacon phenomenal, and the bread inspiring. This meal kept me full well into the afternoon and I would definitely go back.

The service was horrible. I would not recommend for anyone. We had to leave as the "kitchen was closed" while everybody had food on their table, really everyone...

We ordered -- and split -- an excellent burger and goat cheese salad. Both were ample and well-prepared. With a glass of beer each, the total came to about $50 US.

We happened upon this cafe as we made our way back from the Royal Palace to Nyhavn. Located in one of the smaller side streets, this cafe punches way above its weight! Great friendly team of staff, very willing to explain the menu and advise. My wife loved the pickled herring open sandwiches and the apple / goats cheese /... More

We came here at the end of a Nordic Noir walking tour as this cafe features in Borgen. Our guide recommended it and it was a nice way to finish to tour. The restaurant was very busy but we only had to wait at the bar for a few minutes before a table became available. Friendly and helpful staff -... More

This is a great little neighborhood Danish restaurant! The food was outstanding! We had fish dishes once for dinner, and I had a chicken salad lunch once. Both times it was great. The bathroom was clean and the service was warm and wonderful! I would recommend it. It's a little hard to find over on the other side of the... More

This was a spontaneous find for us, and we loved it! The open sandwiches were absolutely lovely. Between two of us we got the fried Camembert, the pickled herring, the shrimp salad, and the fried plaise filet. They were all fan-freaking-tastic and provided a true taste sensation. They were served on that delicious brown rye bread that is thin and... More

Positive atmosphere... The service level was a nightmare. The toilet was not acceptable! The fries was the discount type... There was a screw in the table and my pants did not like that.... The burger meat, and burger bread include salad, tasted really good... Price and concept are out of sync!

A lovely, basic breakfast spot with the mist delicious food. Not your typical Scandi-cool spot, a lovely more traditional place. So worth a visit!

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
