Wascator was my first experience with a restaurant in Copenhagen. I got the bacon burger which was large and delicious. The place is very cosy and is totally a good place for a decent meal at a decent price. I'd totally recommend the place for a lunch/brunch

Long-time semi-regular customer over the last two years, I had the worst dinner evening. I enthusiastically ordered a bisque, a French traditional lobster-based soup made of lobster bits and fish stock. To my great surprise, and despite the price, not lobster bits were present, not even any sort of fish. It appeared I just ordered a 100kr (15USD) soup without... More

This is absolutely one of the best places i Copenhagen, when it comes to value. It is incredible that they can serve such fantastic food for the price you pay here. Keep up the good work, folks!

This place has really good food and some good beers. It becomes lively at night with young people going out. Its defently worth a visit if you nearby. You can sit outside in the sun in the daytime.

Good food in a cozy atmosphere. Menu is small but the food was tasty. Had a great dinner at a reasonable price.

The most private cafe I have ever visited .. it blends into its surroundings so well that y almost gotta check yr laundry, which it was 10 years ago when it was bought by two young men with an idea.. that of creating a timeless environment for the locals to wine and dine for a reasonable price. Ten years later... More

I went last night with some friends to this neighbourhood bar and bistro where, in the day time, lots of students read and have study groups. I sit next to three women and one of them takes out her computer to show the others something and 1 minute later the barman is standing at their table pointing at her laptop... More

Great atmosphere located in a hip neighborhood. A lot of locals, avoid if you like more touristy vibe. A small selection of vegetarian food (for example mushroom risotto). If you would like to stay for a while the bar offers board games for you to play.

Right. Get beyond the tourist trail and find a Copenhagen eatery in a local neighourborhood that gives you a sense of life in this town by going to Wascator. The staff makes you feel as though you have known them for 10 years as soon as you enter the door. The menu is delightfully slim and if you think your... More

Staying in Inner Noerrebro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Noerrebro
Located just north of The Lakes, this neighbourhood is a melting pot of small quirky clothing stores, dozens of pizzerias and eateries of all types, a street almost entirely devoted to antiques, several microbreweries and even a couple of Michelin starred restaurants. Here you’ll also find Assistens Cemetery which is an ecclectic mix of tombstones as well as a recreational park and where you will find the tombstones of famous Danes, such as writer Hans Christian Anderson and physicist Niels Bohr. Inner Noerrebro is also home to one af the most popular theatres in Copenhagen, called Noerrebro Theatre. It shows both popular musicals and plays, as well as productions of a more experimental nature.
