This restaurant came highly recommended, and did not disappoint. The menu is extensive and the atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. The desert selection is outstanding. I would advise that you skip lunch if you go to Brasserie Degas for dinner as the portion size is enormous.

The service was amazing and the food was great especially considering the price. The duck was very good. The fish (havtaske) was beautiful, but needed a bit more flavour. Waiters were so sweet and kept bringing us bread and sweets for the table, free of charge. The service is just great. My glass wasn't empty once during our visit. The... More

Chose this restaurant off of trip advisor. Came as advertised. Small, walking distance from Tivoli gardens Total was about $170 for two total with 2 glasses of wine apiece and a shared dessert. Really very good food thoughtfully presented. Had a pate, scallops, crawfish appetizer that could have been a main dish with a dessert. Terrific service. Wonderful champagne aperitifs... More

I am always a bit wary going to a restaurant that has an excellent Trip Advisor score but I had little choice as I am unfamiliar with Copenhagen. But no problems it deserves the rating! It is a small bistro outside the city centre (taxi was about 80DKK). The welcome was good and friendly and even though only 2 people... More

A really excellent experience! Food was sooooo tasty. Our group of 6 persons enjoyd chef's efforts and all agreed that this was place to recommend! Try for example raw salmon with blinis, fish soup, scallops, sirloin steak, duck breast, apple pie or creme brule. Interior was plain and a bit too simple for me. Service was friendly and professional.

Had dinner here this past weekend. The food was fabulous! The service was very, very good, and the prices were very reasonable for food of this quality. We chose the 3-course prix fixe menu wich turned out to be just spot on.

Don't miss this brasserie! One of the best values in Copenhagen. The foie gras dishes are very well done, and the duck confit is one of the best ever. Michelin caliber food at a fraction of the price.

First time ever wanting to recommend a restaurant, but I have to. Living jn NYC and traveling the world very extensively I am used to great food and great service. We found Degas via Tripadvisor and had the most unexpectedly terrific food and service jn an intimate and extremely comfortable setting. We will have to wait before we go back... More

Great place and people. A little bit out of centre but worth to take a taxi. Good food and presentation. Set of three for 295 DKK is not good enough by itself but if you have somebody to combine set with a la carte meals it would be really good! Turbot was really tasty fresh and awesome. Duck was great!... More

The service is really good at this restaurant and if you are tired of the usual service level in Copenhagen this might reason enough to come here. However the food is not up to the competition in this city. I was here some 7 months ago too and I recognized several of the courses on the menu from that visit.... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
