On a quest for the best beer in Copenhagen and this bar could not disappoint. Excellent knowledge from our barmaid Stella, not only of the beer on tap, but for recommendations for our journey. 10 out of 10 all round.

I have visited Ølbaren couple of times in my life but this time wasn't the best. Around 4pm on a Friday afternoon the place was absolutely packed. It was really hot, humid and crowded. It was raining outside so the patio wasn't an option. But I have had better moments in this place earlier. The beer selection is pretty alright... More

I met some locals who took me here. Great beer selection and they even had some of my local beers from San Diego. Lots of locals and a knowledgeable staff. A must visit for beer geeks.

This Ølbaren has different beers on taps with heaps of flavor. I have been here many different times, and receive help and recommendation from the tender.

We stopped by this bar twice during our trip to Copenhagen in mid-April 2016. Its a smaller place, but nice atmosphere. The first time we went was on a Sunday, coincidentally during pub quiz night and it was very busy yet you could hear a pin drop - everyone was involved in their Danish-only event. It was fun for us... More

Fantastic beer place, I've been a regular here for quite some time! Want to try beers you even never have heard of ? The selection of crafts beer is amazing and the staff is friendly and very knowledgable. The place is small, about 25 seats so come early. It is situated next to Noerrebrogade, and busses are passing by in... More

This is a real old school Copenhagen style beer joint, which "just happens" to only serve a (continously changing) selection of micro-brewery beers and happens to be extremely popular. If you are a Hop Lover you should try the Hornbeer Happy Hoppy Viking Imperial IPA if they have it on tap. The place is rather small so you either have... More

Hubbie and I do like a trip to Bruges every now and again to sit around for a couple of days drinking a beer or 2, and this bar could've been in Bruges. Great selection of Beer on draft, and in bottles. Friendly, helpful staff - cosy atmosphere.

We went in hopes they had gluten free beer on tap as we read online. Upon asking she could tell I was excited and sadly told me not at the moment and then was sorry that they were out of the bottled gf beer. They did have a cider on tap though. It is a cozy place with friendly people.... More

Staying in Inner Noerrebro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Noerrebro
Located just north of The Lakes, this neighbourhood is a melting pot of small quirky clothing stores, dozens of pizzerias and eateries of all types, a street almost entirely devoted to antiques, several microbreweries and even a couple of Michelin starred restaurants. Here you’ll also find Assistens Cemetery which is an ecclectic mix of tombstones as well as a recreational park and where you will find the tombstones of famous Danes, such as writer Hans Christian Anderson and physicist Niels Bohr. Inner Noerrebro is also home to one af the most popular theatres in Copenhagen, called Noerrebro Theatre. It shows both popular musicals and plays, as well as productions of a more experimental nature.
