This is a restaurant owned by a family. The chief cook with passion. You will find there a real autentic home made greek food. Owners are so friendly, they come over to talk, there is always who play gitaur (tourists). Owner wife is from Poland, what made me happy as we could talk with her in our language. she is... More

We very much enjoyed the lunch we had here during a day trip to Hydra. There were some good vegetarian appetizer options, including spinach balls, and eggplant stuffed with white cheese and smothered in a zesty tomato sauce. Because we sat down just before a large tour group arrived, my dining partner had to wait a bit for his meal... More

Right down the street from our Hotel Miranda, we stopped in for lunch. The vary gracious hostess showed us the freshly prepared food of the day and couldn't resist. Okra with potatoes, fresh cooked greens and meat stuffed eggplant were all excellent! Topped with a delicious lemon rind dessert we were quite full and surprised that the bill for 2... More

We were led here by a local of the island and we were not disappointed. Our party had the fried squid, baked lemon chicken and potatoes, spaghetti and moussaka. Everything is prepared daily so there are different things to choose from each day. Everything was delicious. This place is not so touristy and the prices are not either. The family... More

It's a little less glamorous than the places on the harbour, but the quality is superb. My suggestion is to eat here, and then go for coffee on the harbour, if you're missing the view.

Just round from the harbour we sat outside in the little cobbled alley. Also seating indoors with AC.We had an okra dish with potatoes and a dish with fresh peas which were both vey good.almost like a cassoulet dish. The remainder of the meal was also good char grilled squid.

TAWERNA ZEFIROS, thank you very much for the wonderful 5 dinners we had in your tavern while we were in Hydra! This is a perfect place to have traditional Greek food which is homemade and you cannot taste anywhere else - peas with potatoes, green beans with potatoes, artichokes with other vegetables cooked with lemon, etc. Every day there is... Miss Martina, ready with a smile, looked after us each time we ate there. Calamari, salad and specialities from their ready prepared foods washed down by half litres of wine buoyed us through afternoons when it was too rainy to walk the streets. We were not disappointed over 5 visits. Very reasonable too.

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at Zefyros on our recent trip to Hydra. We had read other TripAdvisor reviews of the restaurant and thought it sounded like a winner. We were not let down! After having an afternoon drink and snack at one of the over-priced touristy places along the harbor (we were suckers for the... More
