Staying in the adjacent Mandraki Villas - so convenient and a real treasure. Helpful staff and reasonable prices (4 grown adults totally stuffed with plenty of local wine - for 15 euros a head). Traditional Easter Sunday was a bit pricey with lamb off the spit but this is tradition and thoroughly enjoyable with a party atmosphere. The setting is... More

Greek salad and marinated fish filets were ok. I would say you come here because it's a nice place. Staff or owners are totally unfriendly. You might disturb them...

Spent one day at Mandraki beach and had coffe and lunch at Mandraki 1800. In all a nice beach and Tavern. The beach is a little shabby with many broken sunbeds. The beach could be cleaned (picked garbage, the sandy part is a cat toilet) to be even better. The sunbeds are for free - at least ehen I was... More

A 30 min walk from hydra town there is a little bay called Mandraki. The only beach which with wind is still enjoyable. Beautiful setting, amazing waters and a little family run taverna. The have a simple menu with great value for money and honestly delicious food. Nothing fancy but what they serve is 10 out of 10. We had... More

This Taverna is about 30 minutes walk from the port, or it is €15 in a water taxi which takes 5 minutes. It is above a little pebbly beach, and the taverna provide free sunbeds for customers. It is a nice beach for swimming, but you really need rubber swimming shoes. There is lots of activity to watch, with boats... More

We went for just a drink but stayed for a simple lunch. Excellent fries and meatballs and the beer was very cold : )) Waiters were not very friendly but we loved this little taverna anyway.

PROs - view - greek salad CONs - service - fried A quick lunch in a small bay with transparent water. Atmosphere is good. Food is average but it is the only place in this bay!! We had fried squids (too much oil) and Greek salad (good) Prices are fair.

Beautiful quiet small beach. Taverna slightly elevated so stunning views out to sea. Simple food, well cooked and served. Huge fresh prawns, drinks brought to you on the beach. Lovely people.

We spent several afternoons here, alternating between eating, swimming, drinking and relaxing. They do a good taramasalata and other traditional dishes at reasonable prices.

An agreeable setting was marred by indifferent food at what seemed like a big price (we ate more for less in Ydra Port).
