We spent a looong afternoon here and had an unforgettable time! Stella and her family are fabulous hosts and they took care of us like we were members of that family! The food and the local rose wine were delicious. We were there for the Greek music "jam session" and it was really fun! Some local people arrived later in... More

Food and live music in perfect harmony! Staff and guests mingle in a completely natural way, also inviting people passing by to a dance! Lunch was extended to early evening.....

On sitting we were given a plate of fried potato chips a staple diet here, perhaps the wrong word but they are home made and... More

Best Taverna of our trip to Crete. Traditional, non touristic in the best way: most guests are inhabitants of Chania or come from mountain villages: Having done their work in Chania, they dedicatedly go to eat at the STOU PISSA (the name says: At Pissa's) to enjoy local food and handmade traditional folk music on various instruments. NOT ANOTHER ZORBAS... More

We lunched here on an impulse and were pleased with the service and food. The lady owner took time to talk us through all the dishes on offer in the chiller at the front of the restaurant. The service was prompt, with bread and water brought immediately. The food was wholesome and clearly home cooked. Our younger son could not... More
