The best meal of our two week vacation here in crete. The daily offers are incredible, the live music emphasizes the atmosphere and the waiters are extremely friendly. We were here last year and we'll come back next year!

Had several great evenings at this gem of a music taverna while staying in Hania. It is tucked away in a quiet area just 5 minutes from the noisy harbour area. Wonderful atmosphere and great Cretan traditional food all served up by friendly staff. The lamb chops were particularly tasty - small Cretan chops not the tasteless "monster chops" we... More

Service was terrible. The waitress was a terrible liar. We wanted to have 2 beef steaks and we were told by the waitress that they do not have any steaks as it is the end of the season and once they run out of something they will not buy it again. This indicates that food is not fresh ! Anyway... More

Mid range budget local food eating not far from the port area in a nice open air garden type setup. Reasonable pricing with live soft music. It deserves a visit.

A very atmospheric taverna built inside the shell of a WW2 bomb site in one of the more characterful (and less commercial) parts of the Old Town. The generous Cretan food is fresh and very well prepared and the service is friendly and attentive. There is a house band who provide top notch musical accompaniment helping make this a fine... I was very much looking forward to our visit here but unfortunately the food really lets this place down. The snails were slimy, pork belly not cooked properly and the spinach pies had an odd taste. The music was ok, although down-beat but by no means makes up for the meal.

We accidentally found this place while we were hungry walking through Chania. We ordered orada (fish) and pork neck. It was fantastic and very tasty! Services and waiters were excellent. After we finished the meal, they offered us for free: cake and very strong rakia.

Arrived around 7:30, enjoyed our meal though server was mildly interested in our visit and generally his work. Took 4 times to get his attention afyer making eye contact with him. Food was their version of some familiar dishes. We enjoyed the mishroom appitizer, and the home made pie appetizers having no idea what they were ans wanting to try... More

We had a lovely evening here! The waiters were friendly, and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our meal! The chicken souvlaki was well seasoned, not to salt and perfectly juicy. The mustard sauce gave it an original feel. The Cretan pasta with shrimp was very tasty as well. I loved the cheesecake for dessert! Wish I could take some home... More

We went there for our last night in Crete for a good dinner since we had seen different reviews of this place. Firstly the server didn't know the history of his restaurant which surprised me. I had read it quickly on their website while trying to make a reservation. That was surprising. Now we ordered wine and a salads and... More
