We had dinner here twice during our stay in Chania, though we are not vegetarian. The service was very friendly and efficient, the food was good, and the prices very reasonable. Just behind the harbour, facing old Venetian defences. It's hard to get enough vegetables when we're eating out, but not here. All vegan.

We are a Pakistani couple and we dined here 9th may 2017. After some days in Platanias we were craving for some real Indian/desi food. We did not know what to expect, but we were really surprised by the food and the philosophy behind the concept. The owner had a nice chat with us explaning how he used only authentic... More

It is easy to say that what To Stachi serves can be found elsewhere, but there is a difference between vegetarian/vegan food prepared by a nonvegetarian and food prepared by a chef who is him/herself a vegetarian or vegan. That subtle difference is obvious when visiting this restaurant. We had some Greek standards (spinach and cheese pies, dolmades (and stuffed... More

We ate lunch here and would have eaten here again if we'd had the time. The owner's daughter served us and she was incredibly sweet and helpful. Her father was cooking the meals and we loved the mezes and mousaka that we ordered.

We visited this as a couple, I am am vegetarian but my husband not. We both really enjoyed the friendly service and tasty food. The price of the food was not high. We ate 2 courses each with a side dish and glass of wine and the cost was 30 Euros I find this very reasonable.

Great find for a vegetarian! Tucked away on a side street right off the harbor, good service and a wide array of menu options. The chef even came by to have a quick chat and brought out a sample plate to try. Great place to go for vegetarians looking for local cuisine.

We went to To Stachi on our last day in Crete, we walked past many waterfront restaurants aiming for this one and were not dissapointed. This is a great little family run restaurant that serves vegetarian and vegan versions of many popular greek dishes. the food was tasty and plentiful. The Chef was wonderful and took the time to explain... More

Lovely little place on the edge of the old town. The chef is awesome and so nice, he explained everything to us in great depth and catered to our vegan/gluten free needs easily. The moussaka is amazing here! All the food was delicious and good value. In a nice location near the water and not on a busy street. Such... More

Nice little restaurant near the coast. Good selection of vegetarian dishes to choose from, with a beautiful complimentary dessert. The waitress that looked after us ( I can't remember her name, sorry) was very attentive and helpful.

This is our 8-th year eating at To Stachi , as it has become our daily place during our repeated spring vacations in Chania. Stelios , the master chef, is as good as ever . With the fantastic participation of the entire family , it is a unique restaurant , a center part of our Greek-Crete experience. Stelios is both... More
