VINTAGE holds over 1200 labels with 850 of them served by the glass, which is quite phenomenal in worldwide scale and makes the world's largest “by the glass” list. Especially worth mentioning is the fact that legendary fine wines are also available by the glass (yes, Petrus too). One of the three cellars is dedicated to aged, very rare Greek wines - both red and white ones - with very impressive collection on Santorini wines and hundreds of Magnum bottles. If you love wine, you must come here!

We came for the wine, which did not disappoint, but let me start by saying the food was also excellent! The wine tasting experience was really incredible, with a tasting of 2 different whites and 6 reds. They have an incredible range of wines by...the glass to suit every budget. We were looked after by Nikos, a super nice and knowledgeable guy. This was a truly memorable evening!! If you love wine, you’ll love this place!More

Highlight of our holiday

We booked this restaurant as part of my birthday celebrations and it was a fantastic evening - the two staff who looked after us were very knowledgeable about the wines and the food and, after asking us about the types of wines we usually drink..., our budget and our food choices, we were served two fabulous wines by the glass , a white, a red and then a desert wine later . The wines were outstanding and the food was outstanding . We shared three dishes first - a fish ceviche, whole grain falafel and a bone marrow and beef carpaccio followed by a platter of four Greek cheeses. The orange and lemon pudding we shared for the final course was also exceptional. A meal I will remember for a long time and the highlight of our week in Athens. It was quiet but we were unfashionably early as we had another event later and so we got a look at the wine cellar and information on the restaurants roots and concept - Thank you so much.More

An amazing host and delicious food and wine.

We had a very happy experience at this place thanks to our extraordinary host Sotiris. He was passionate about food and wine and delighted in sharing this. Sotiris’s depth of knowledge of wine was amazing and he guided us to wine we liked and within...our budget. The food was also very delicious, with a wonderful marriage of different tastes and textures.More

Excellent, yet relaxed, wine bar

Vast selection of wines in classes, also extensive selection of Italian and French wines. Nikos introduced me to some excellent high quality Greek wines in a nice and professional manner. Had some delicious local cheeses and lamb proscuitto. Highly recommended!

Amazing Experience

If you like wine, you HAVE to come here!! This was not dinner and a glass of wine, this was an EXPERIENCE! They have over 850 wines by the glass and the story their staff tells of each winery is amazing.

Perfect evening in Athens

We were tired after 20 hours of traveling and wanted something to eat. We found Vintage right across the street from our hotel. The manager was a delight, we had her recommend our wine as we wanted something. Greek. She showed us the area on...a map that it came from and detailed tasting notes. With decided on a Charcuterie plate. We again let her decide what was on it. Local rare cheeses and local meats. Everything was perfect. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering we didn’t even ask on the front end and relied on our server who was the manager. Highly recommend.More

Amazing vine tasting restaurant in the middle of Athens ❤️

Amazing place with 8,200 labels of vines.Somelier Effie knows your taste and following all details exactly what you loves.I prefer to drink Greek vine in Greece,so she helped me to choose the right vine and to stay enjoyed.Thank you so much.

Knowledgeable host and hundreds of wines to choose from!

When we discovered they had hundreds of bottles of wine available by the glass, we knew we had to give it a try. Effie was a wonderful host who’s knowledge of wine seemed infinite. We tried 3 glasses each, loved every one but our favorite...was a wine that did not have a label. It was from a small winery with very limited production so this was a perfect opportunity to enjoy a wonderful wine that we would never see again. If you love wine, Vintage is a must while in Athens!More

Nice Wine Bar and food

Great staff and service and very knowledgeable about wine and brought local whites and reds by the glass that perfectly matched our preferences. We had a couple of sharing platters that were very tasty - pitta with feta and pears and mini tacos. I think...it’s prob 4.5 stars and only reason I scored 4 is that the menu is not extensive and there may not be something for everyone. But suited us and I would recommend.More

A gem for foodies in central Athens

We had a wonderful dinner here - I couldn’t recommend it enough. We had a few different sharing plates, but the goat cheese and apple pitta was amazing, as was the deer bone marrow carpaccio. Effie picked the perfect Greek red wine just from me...describing what I liked. The wine selection is superb and overall the restaurant is relaxed with excellent service. A must visit in Athens if you are looking for high quality, excellent, interesting food and wine.More

Excellent!

Everything was perfect, we ordered a platter with several cheeses and charcuterie that we wanted to try. The quality was excellent and the quantity was more than enough to accompany the wine we have chosen. We loved the Holzhofer and the truffled pecorino! Fully recomended!

relaxed evening

We had such a great time at Vintage! Our server was so kind and helpful in selecting wines by the glass, even when we shared that we needed to stay on lower end of the $$spectrum. Ultimately, we left it up to her to choose...our wine, and she did not disappoint! The food wasn't life-changing, but the wine, ambiance, and our server more than made up the difference. Highly recommend, but would caution if you are impatient or expect rapid service. When we were there in June, there was just one team member who served as sommelier, hostess, server, and everything in between - and a huge hats off to her for doing so!! as she still provided individualized attention to each table - so things were a little slow, but it gave us more time to enjoy ourselves and the excellent wine :)More

Perfect

A choice of 800 wines by the glass, over 1300 by the bottle with an expert, knowledgeable and friendly waitress to help you choose. Great food to share, with some greekness and a modern suite. Had a perfect evening to remember!

Best wine bar ever

Had the absolute best time with Effie. Went three times during our week long visit. Each time she listened to what we liked/didn’t like and found perfect wines to match our budget. She is very knowledgeable about her Greek wines! And the food, excellent. Had...the potatoes, tacos, falafel, and ice cream. Who puts string potatoes on ice cream?! They do and it’s fantastic. Highly HIGHLY recommend.More
