We were also first attracted by their sign stating that they do not pester people to eat at their restaurant. We had a very nice lunch. My partner had the lamb stew and I the Krasopoulio salad. The staff were friendly and it was very nice sitting out on the street.

In the heart of Athens there are a lot of restaurants and a large number of them have "barkers" urging people (they try to i.d. tourists) to try the restaurant for which they are working. It can be distracting and annoying. Seeing the signs stating "we do not hunt tourists" and their having no one on the street trying to... More

Sign out the front says they don't tourist hunt ! which is a welcome relief !! Menu of the day - 3 courses for 10 euro (it's off season !) ..... and full menu if course. Cheerful service, interesting decorations ... great food !!! Highly recommend ... I'll be back !

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
