I was there, in a saturday night. i think is a good restaurant, for dining with friends and family. it´s advisable to book before you go, especially at weekend night. the price is average.

I have to start off by saying that everything i ate in this restaurant so far as an outstading relation between the price and the quality and quantity of the food you are served. Here every portion is well served, and sometimes it's enough for two people. The prices are low for the quality and the quantity of the food... More

The meal was great, the space really cosy, the service very good and the price when compared to the quality of the meal was lower than expected. If you are around and are looking for a tasty and portuguese meal don't mind looking anywhere else.

Our most memorable dinner of our 3 week trip. Awesome service, excellent recommendations... everyone who visits coastal Portugal should book a night in Povoa de Varzim if only to experience Bodegao!!!

The staff are very friendly and profesional. The food is really good specially the Arroz de Pato ( Duck Rice ). The atmosphere of the restaurant is really good. It is a little beat expensive, but in the mean while the food is really good

My boyfriend took me here for our 2yr anniversary. The staff was polite and friendly. We had ordered shrimp, octopus, beef with veggies and potatoes. The food was very well executed and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to feel like they are fine dining.

Had my 70th birthday evening meal at this restaurant. Chose the Bodegao as the result of local recommendation and trip advisor rating. Lucky to have got a table as we did not book. On arrival we were allocated Fernando one of the few waiters who spoke English. As we arrived a 7.0pm just as the restaurant was opening Fernando was... More

After reading so many good reviews, I guess we weren't that lucky. The place has a nice decoration. Unfortunately, our waiter didn't get our order rigth. After we explained the issue he apologized a lot. However, we ended up with some not so good dish for two. This time it was not his fault, someone in the kitchen was also... More

This place was a perfect discovery and plays into the charming atmosphere of this seaside town. The place is non touristy and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The decor is eclectic without being cheesy. The portions are also huge and the luncheon special is a great value.
