Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came for a bifana and prego. It was delicious, well priced, fast and well located. They accept credit card. We would definitely be open to come back again.

Run away !! I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. A long wait for service (more than 45 minutes, we stopped counting time from then and it wasn't crowded...) we asked to eat outside and we ended up sunburnt! we've tried to attract the attention...of the waiters about that and asked if they could move a little bit the table (or the umbrella) so that we could hide from the warm and burning sun, they just said, "no, it's impossible" (while all the other tables were under the different umbrellas) Even when they know you'll sunburn (without hat, sunglasses or jacket..), they'll place there just because you want to eat outside, they don't even warn you or offer you to eat inside, instead... You might be attracted inside by the low prices (for instance, the francesinha is around 9€) but the quantities are really lowered which finally makes you feel to pay too expensively something that isn't worth it. We should have left from the beginning ! We ate better and in better conditions in other restaurants.More

I had lunch solo and went for daily menu. I was served pork, clams and rice with a fino and couldn't have been happier.

A really good place to eat different typical Portuguese foods. A must when traveling to Porto! The personnel is also very friendly and they really care if you are having a good time and food.

Only €11.50 for fish and chips/rice and a salad and a bottle of super bock. Simple food but low cost and nice.

We took some meat (picanha), some red wine and a dessert for two. Everything was good, the ambience was cosy, the waiter was great and the bill extremely cheap. This place is perfect if you don't want to be in a touristic restaurant.

First night in Porto and having previously left another establishment due to poor service this place repaid our faith. It is as it says a snack bar but the service was first class despite the late hour. The wine at 12 Euro was excellent. Well...done!!More

This restaurant was close to hotel and we stopped there for supper one night. My partner had the half BBQ chicken but found it rather dry. I chose the cheese omelet and it was OK but nothing special. Service was fine and the place was...pleasantMore

We came across this place as our original plan had a 45 minute wait so we went here instead and it hit the spot. The service was great and very prompt. It’s not fine dining but it’s cheap and cheerful. We both had the Francesinha...and it wasn’t the best in Porto but it was served hot and promptly. We had 2 beers, one Sangria and less than 20 Euro so cant complain. Lots of locals so always a good signMore

Staff were friendly, food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend this little gem in the middle of many other restaurants. Plus they had a fair amount of vegetarian options, which isn’t always easy to come by!

After disappointing meal experiences in Porto we stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. Good food and a good price unlike many others. Locals eat there and the staff were friendly with good English .

This restaurant is literally next door to the apartment we're renting so of course we had to try it. We were both exhausted so we ducked in for a very early dinner (around 6:30pm). I had the pork cutlet plate and my husband had the...1/2 roast chicken and the soup of the day. Every morsel was tasty and well seasoned. We also shared a piece of cake for dessert. The grand total (including a large bottle of water) was $15.40. And we had enough left over for dinner the next day. Combine that with the excellent service and we can't believe what a wonderful value this restaurant is. Highly recommended.More
