A centrally located cafe - restaurant that serves a variety of drinks and food, ranging from a simple coffee to local Portuguese cuisine. If like me you like wine with your food but a glass is not enough or a whole bottle too much, you can also buy small half bottles of local wine. The building itself both inside and... More

Terrible service, reheated microwave food and shady patrons made this place stick out in an otherwise food friendly town. Porto is an Epicurean Gastronomic city.... please spend your money elsewhere.... we were stopping patrons as we were leaving and they were entering..... I figured it was the honest thing to do. Definitely NOT recommended.....

This cafe were recommended to us by local Portuguese girl as a place with a very good francesinha. The cafe itself is huge, with high ceilings and a lot of tables, the interior is quite old, reminds a style of soviet restaurants. The waiter immediately brought us some snacks, such as olives, bread and some interesting pate, one made of... More

The service was really good, and the waiter was really nice to us, checking often if everything was all right. The food was good and very well served. I had a francesinha plenty of potatoes, good sauce and a complete sandwich. The restaurant saloon is quite pretty, keeping the 60/70s style. I do recommend!

I was with a group of friends and we were looking for a place to have dinner. As most restaurants we found were crowded, we decided to give Café Ceuta a try, despite me having a rather bad feeling about it as the huge interiour was almost empty. Prices, to start with, are very low, but we soon figured out... More

This is a place with history, where you can have a cosy conversation along with a flavoured coffee in the very heart of the city's downtown! The menu is great and all food is tasty :) It will be difficult for you to find a better place! Take some rest in the sofa and drink a cold beer or a... More

I went in here as a second choice having walked out of Langostim. Pity I did not find it first. The service was excellent and the waiter was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, having already had a starter in Langostim and being rather upset by the experience, I only ordered a main course, which did not really give the restaurant a fair... More

We were hungry and tired after a long day, so we ended up here. The spaghetti bolognese was just fried ground meat, oil and pasta, and the other food was almost equally disappointing.

The food takes ages to make and is not good at all. Too much salt in everything, cold soup and even bread is rare. Nice for a drink with live music in the sub floor.

This a classic pre-revoluton café. The glass panels show some scenes of the Portuguese Empire, specifically Ceuta as the name implies. The tables and chairs are originals, small and compact. For drinks it's very good value for money, meals are reasonable quality and have some decent vegetarian dishes. The newly refurbished downstairs has a dedicated bar, which improves service somewhat.... More
